Man City cruised in to the Champions League quarter finals with a second 2-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach and hoping to join them on Wednesday are Chelsea who have a 1-0 1st leg lead over Atletico Madrid to defend at Stamford Bridge.
Olivier Giroud's spectacular overhead kick was enough for Thomas Tuchel's side to get the better of the La Liga leaders and are in a good position to get the job done in London.
Atletico Madrid have won just two of their past 10 away Champions League knockout matches and striker Luis Suarez has failed to score in his last 24 away appearances in the competition so you feel that a Chelsea goal, which would leave Atleti needing two, migh just be enough to put the tie to bed.
The Spaniards are 11/4 to qualify and it may be a cagey affair at the Bridge with Chelsea happy to keep Atletico at arms length and Diego Simeone's side unlucky to be gung-ho. No goal before 34 minutes appeals at 5/6.
Bayern Munich hold a commanding lead over Lazio after their 4-1 first leg win over the Italians. Hansi Flick is still likely to field a strong line-up but the bookies aren't giving much away at 3/1. even Lewandowski is just 3/10 to score so there might be better value in his supporting cast such as Coman at 3/1 anytime (BetVictor) or Sane at 21/10 (Sportingbet).
Norwich City are on the march back to the Premier League and look a fair bet at 10/11 to win at Nottingham Forest. The Canaries have won eight on the bounce while Forest have failed to win in four and scored just four goals in their last eight matches.

just wondering if anyone like myself has lost a few quid with football index going bust…………. i’m only down about £40 thankfully but reading some are down a rite few bob……………
I only had in region of a couple hundred quid tied up in the Index, thankfully cashed out vast majority of my shares a while back for a tidy profit. Many people had committed there life savings to the platform and lost 10s of thousands of pounds overnight, awful to see so many lives turned upside down. I don’t think the company will go under IMO, the overall concept of FI is simply brilliant but desperately needs new management to restore any kind of confidence in the product and take it forward.

Bayern have played 15 home games this season and netted 2+ in 14 of those matches, as well as hitting 5+ corners in 14 of those games. They might be 4-1 up from the first league but being holders plus the German mentality will ensure there’s no slacking off in this one and I fancy them to cover both these lines tonight.
Sevilla aren’t in great form going into this one but they face an elche side without an away win in the league since October- a run which has seen them pick up just 3 draws in 12 games. Home men should be looking to strengthen their grip on the last CL place in this one.
The NB sees me go for PSG and Barnsley and strangely it’s the Yorkshire men who are the form side of the 2. PSG come into this without a win in their last 3 home games, but I fancy them to turn that around today against a Lille side they have beaten on their last 6 trips to Paris and who haven’t triumphed there since 1996.
Barnsley been well documented over the past month or so, ex LASK manager valerian Ismael is working his magic with them and they are unbeaten in 9, winning 8 of those games and scoring 2+ in 6. A trip to relegation threatened wycombe will be tough as they scrap for survival but Barnsley have won their last 4 away games at Bournemouth Bristol city Brentford and qpr scoring 9 in the process so I fancy them to cover the 2+

Congratulations to Japan who’s use of VAR is worse than anywhere in Europe I’ve seen, even including the premier league. After what I thought was an equaliser for Kashima Antlers on the 91st minute, the goal got disallowed 5 minutes later. Also the Marinos scored a 2nd on the 60th minute, the goal got disallowed 3 minutes later, both for fouls a good bit of time before the eventual goal was scored. Frustrated is an understatement, really does put you off betting on that league but we go again. Hopefully more luck and no negative VAR intervention downs this afternoons double.
