International weekends are always difficult ones for us punters but there's a couple of decent value bets in amongst the mis-matches on Saturday.
The likes of Netherlands, Croatia and Montenegro are all short prices to win against minnows but Russia and Belgium will tempt plenty of punters at backable prices.
Russia's win over Malta was their first in nine but generally they're pretty decent at home. But for defeats to Turkey (2-3) and Serbia (0-5) in their final two Nations League matches they'd have topped a tricky group.
Visitors Slovenia pulled off a surprise result at home to Croatia, defeating the World Cup finalists by a goal to nil despite enjoying just 30% possession. It means they're now unbeaten in nine, but that needs to be viewed in the context of their Nations League campaign where they were undfeated in a group that included Greece, Moldova and Kosovo plus friendlies against Azerbaijan and San Marino. Russia, in their own back yard, should be an altogether tougher test.
Belgium are the top ranked team in the world at the moment and with a galaxy of stars at Roberto Martinez's disposal it's easy to see why.
They travel to Prague to take on a Czech Republic side who, although they won their Nations League group, haven't been particularly impressive. Scotland beat them twice in that campaign and it's fair to say that Belgium are a notch or two above Steve Clarke's side. The Belgians are 3/4 at Marathonbet and should be good enough to get the three points.

Visitors Queen of the South have scored in 10 of their 11 away games this season and have scored in both meetings against Hearts this season. However, with only bottom side Alloa conceding more in the league this season and conceding 22 goals away from home, this leads me to believe that this could be a another high scoring game.

Saturday morning 🇦🇺 A league tips
Tomorrow sees top take on bottom in the first match as the mariners face Melbourne victory. I’ll keep this brief for this one- victory are an absolute shambles from top to bottom at the moment and anything other than a mariners win would be shock of the season in my eyes. Victory have 1 win in their last 14 away games, and have conceded 17 goals in their last 4 games, and still can’t get their strongest XI on the park. Mariners now have the rest of the top 6 breathing down their neck due to games in hand and recent form and know 3pts is a must from this game as 4 of their next 5 games are against those sides in the top half. Mariners to win and score 2+ for me. Second up sees Perth take on the Newcastle jets. Banged the drum for both sides this season for various markets- Perth glory games for goals and the jets for corners, but I’m giving both of those a swerve tomorrow and just going for the straight Perth win. Neither are in great form but the jets have lost their last 4 games, while glory have only lost once at home, to top of the league mariners, and with the travel and everything involved with a trip to the other side of Australia I think the home men win this.

2 offerings again from down under tomorrow and I like the chances of all 4 sides to net. First match sees wellington Phoenix take on macarthur. The nix are in slightly better form and have started scoring goals of late but are always prone to conceding- they’ve kept 1 clean sheet in 10 “home games” since having to move to Australia to play their matches. The sides fought out a 1-1 draw in their earlier meeting and I think something similar could be on the cards again. The 2nd game sees a red hot Adelaide side take on Sydney.
