Much has been made of Newcastle's recovery in the last few months but their progress faces it's stiffest test so far with the visit of Liverpool to St James' Park at lunch time.
The Magpies have climbed to ninth in the table off the back of 10 wins in their last 15 since the turn of the year but they've failed miserably so far when up against top six sides, picking up just one point from a possible 24 so far.
The Reds are short enough at 2/5 but Mo Salah could provide a route to profit for punters. The Egyptian striker has scored in six of his last seven league starts against Newcastle and is 10/11 to find the net this afternoon.
Burnley have found a new lease of life since the departure of Sean Dyche and given themselves a real chance of survival. They can pile the pressure on to Everton tomorrow with a win at Watford who look destined for the drop.
Watford have an awful home record, winning just seven points (W2 D1) from their 16 matches. The Clarets have won seven points from their last three visits to Vicarage Road and look worth a punt at 7/4 once more.
Defeat to Norwich was a hammer blow for Burnley but they've responded brilliantly under Mike Jackson and will have the belief that they can escape the drop after winning seven points from their last three game. They'll have earmarked this match as one from which they can take another three points and you'd sooner be on them at 7/4 than Watford at 8/5.
Aston Villa could yet be drawn in to the relegation battle especially as they still have to play Burnley twice before the end of the season. They're winless in five (D1 L4) and shouldn't be as short as 2/5 to beat Norwich based on current form. Best avoided.
In the early evening kick-off Leeds United host Manchester City at Elland Road. Jesse Marsch appears to have Leeds going in the right direction but like Newcastle they've made little impact against teams at the top end of the season.
Defensively they look more organised but it couldn't get much worse. They conceded 14 goals in the three games prior to Marsch's appointment but have lost just seven in seven under the American, however… those seven games have been against teams with an average league position of 14th in the table.
Against top six team so far this season Leeds have conceded 38 in 9, an average 4.2 goals per game. City have scored 14 in their last four and look worth a punt at even money to score three or more tonight.
There should be goals at Tynecastle today where Ross County are the visitors. The Staggies are still eyeing a European spot which would represent a remarkable turnaround in their season following an awful start.
Both sides are going well at the moment with Hearts unbeaten in nine, whereas Ross County's only two defeats in their last seven have been to Celtic. Striker Regan Charles-Cook capped a fine season by being nominated for the PFA Scotland Premiership Player of the Year and he still leads the scoring charts with 13 league goals for County.
To be fair Ross County's last three wins have been by a goal to nil but Hearts have kept just one clean sheet in their last seven so BTTS at 4/5 is worth a second look, as is the 10/11 on Over 2.5 Goals.

Nice to read about my favorite team here. I agree, we are absolutely flying at the moment and I can see us put 2+ past Servette today. I also like the btts/o2.5, since we are not always super solid at the back and Servette is strong at home. It’s important to note that Guillemenot is out today though. He’s an important piece of the attack…but we got some quality backups so I think we can keep the machine running without him. I can see this ending 2-2 or something like that. Not sure we’ll win but the odds are definitely tempting.

It’s a really exciting end to the National league promotion race. Wrexham are really hitting top gear now. Their big money signings are starting to gel and they’re scoring goals for fun. Mullin should be playing at a much higher level; he’s seemingly scoring every game and will hopefully carry on today.
Wrexham have scored an incredible 32 goals in their last 9 matches. That’s an average of 3.6 per game. Not all of those games were against fodder either. They’ve stuck 2 past runaway leaders Stockport and 3 past Halifax as well as hitting Weymouth, Dover and Barnet for 6.
At home Wrexham are lethal. They’ve scored 2+ in 12 of their last 15 home games. In those 15 games they’ve scored: 4,1,3,6,2,6,3,4,2,4,3,1,1,5,5. They are playing a Southend team with absolutely nothing left to play for who have conceded 2+ in 5 of their last 7 aways.
There’s a case to be made for Wrexham 3+ goals at 6/4 but I’ve never been comfortable betting on a team to score more than 2.
Stockport are are still flying high but have hit a bit of a wall recently, losing 3 of their last 5. This is shown in the fact they are 4/5 with bet365 to score 2+ and win (which is generous considering their sublime home form).
In light of this mini slump I’ve decided to take the safer option of 2+ match goals to make a nice even money double along with Wrexham 2+ team goals. Stockport are still very strong at home and Boreham Wood still have an outside chance of a play off place so I think they’ll have a go here; they’ve got nothing to lose.

They’ve hit 30 corners in their opening 4 games, averaging 7.5 corners per game. On their travels so far this season they’ve hit 4 at Vaalerenga, who are a good side. They’ve also recently hit 8 at top of the table Lillestrom. Impressive stats for a team sitting rock bottom.
Viking have conceded 8 corners in their first 2 home games so are averaging 4 corners against per game and 4.25 corners against overall.
I contemplated a few angles – Viking 7+ corners at evens with Skybet or 11+ match corners at 5/6 with Skybet as well but I’ve gone with Haugesund 4+ corners as I think there’s a good case to be made for them to hit just 4 corners today.
