BEOWULF was a welcome winner on Monday, it's a shame for Amourie who probably should've won his race in my opinion. Just the one selection from me today, and I think he looks a little overpriced.

This race doesn't appear to be all that competitive, so I think it's best to side with a horse who is in form, and could follow up on his recent win. KEEPUP KEVIN won easily over this course and distance last time, and I think he can win again off a 6lb higher mark.
Dougie Costello made the running on this fella last time out, and I'm hoping he will go for similar tactics in this race today. There isn't a standout pace angle in this race, so it could be advantageous to make the running. Pontefract is often seen to be advantageous for those who are close to the pace, so it would be a no brainer in my opinion for Keepup Kevin to attempt to make all.
There is a little forecast rain, but I don't think it'll be heavy enough to change the ground description to soft. It will either remain as Good or maybe go to Good To Soft at a maximum. It's been very hard to read the weather forecasts recently, as no matter how accurate they come across, they have been very wrong. Either way, this horse seems to handle any going, so we should be okay on that front. One benefit for this horse is that he won on the back of a 287 day break, so there is definitely more to come from him, as it would've been very hard to have him spot on for his last time out after such a long time off.
Six Strings has been a consistent horse this season, but he has seconditis, and is a horse who always looks like he should've won. He holds a good chance in this race, and is the main rival to the selection, but if you're backing him at short odds, you're a braver man than me. As for the rest of them, I think they need to improve on what we've seen, including First Dance, who was a winner last time, but he is seen best on a fast surface, which he most likely won't have it rattling fast.

TheBigFlu 4 short prices have stung me in the USA but 3 in France and I pulled an Even money out the bag before bed last night in Hipster that went off at 4/11(R4 but) and duly walked it but it’s still lower my balance.
Could been a lot worse but it’s normally the USA that saves a poor day it’s opposite last 4 days.

Correct me if I’m wrong but surely that’s one of the strangest rides of the month by Costello. Rain comes, Money pours in the horse is backed into 7/2 at one point and instead of riding the soft ground which the horse enjoys he angles wide losing 2 lengths and goes in search of good ground. Sat at the back like an 80/1 shot before even hitting the busineee end of race.
