Pearl Eye 15/2 (5pl) – York 4.50

I'm starting off the Lucky 15 thread with Pearl Eye. I tipped him up two runs ago, when I thought he wasn't given the best ride, and probably should have gotten much closer. I avoided him last time out, and of course, he went on to win.

He has only gone up 2lbs for that recent success, but Lauren Young is back in the saddle and removes 5lbs, so he is effectively on a better mark than last time out. This looks a much tougher race, which is what you'd expect from a big field Saturday handicap, but he's clearly in decent form and on a good handicap mark.

Impartiality 4/1 (3pl) – Chester 3.23

The price of Impartiality has gone, and he is definitely much shorter than he should be based on his recent form. However, there's reason to believe he can run well.

He is a previous course winner, has the plum draw in stall 1, and the trainer is arguably in the best form of his career. His handicap mark has continued to drop, and he is now fairly well-handicapped. If he breaks well from the stalls, he has every chance in this race, and it would be interesting to see if the money continues to come in for him.

Ruby's Profit 8/1 (3pl) – Chester 4.00

On her last few starts, it has looked like the handicapper had the grips on Ruby's Profit, but she has been dropped 2lbs for last time out, and that gives her a squeak.

This filly is very quick, and if there's ever a track to get out and not be caught, Chester is that place. She is drawn well in stall 4, which gives her every opportunity to make all, if they still want to do that. The cheekpieces have been applied, which I deem to be a positive action, as it could really liven her up.

Swiped 11/4 (4pl) – Bath 4.27

It's very rare you see a Ralph Beckett runner in a race this bad, and the same can said about the owner. I'd be shocked if Swiped couldn't get the job done in this race, especially after an encouraging run last time out.

He had finished fifth on his first three starts, but managed to turn it in the right direction by finishing a close second on his handicap debut. That was his best run to date, and they are going up an extra furlong. He stayed on powerfully last time out, so the stiff finish at Bath, combined with the extra furlong, should really suit.
