Alan Thomson has a trio of bets on the all-weather at Lingfield on Tuesday
APPRENTICE Erika Parkinson made full use of a good draw to give IT MUST BE FAITH (11.45) a very polished ride when scoring with plenty in hand at Wolverhampton on Saturday evening and a similar scenario could well unfold at Lingfield Park.
Mick Appleby has his string in tremendous form and It Must Be Faith is again handily berthed. Vincenzo Coccoti lost out on the nod to Sir Hector over course and distance six days ago, with Spreadsheet running on into fourth. They are probably the two threats.
ROHAAN (12.15) is elevated in class off a 12lb higher mark but can complete his hat-trick. The David Evans-trained gelding produced a remarkable performance, coming from last to first in about 100 yards, when landing a touch at Newcastle before following up in some style at Kempton 13 days ago. This tighter circuit may not be ideal but Rohaan remains hard to resist.
FAME N FORTUNE (1.45) has put his name up in lights with three course victories (and a short head defeat) in four outings for George Baker. A 6lb rise for his latest success is not insurmountable.

I just put up what I think but who ever you are we all have our day take e/w thief yesterday . Your a good lad . But you bang in some good winners so worth taking note of . This site does get the winners consistently I just pay attention to who is having a good day and jump on it . As we know we all have those days where you can’t lose so how ever daft people’s selections may seem if they start coming in then it’s there day and jump on . This site is amazing to mix with your own personal selections or confirm your own thoughts I would nt myself rely on it alone . Anyway may the best horse win
It was just one of those with in one second your fancy is told to you when others you start to study . There is no right or wrong mate . My approach is if I were to fix a race how would I Fix it mainly stay away from the fav unless Elvis has picked it . We have saw first hand blatant fixing to know it does go on there is to much money involved for certain organisations not to let such a thing go on without getting involved in some way . Again props to Alan picking so far in advance rather than last min live market is so much easier and then go to second fav by default lol

Yeah I would nt be grudge anyone a winner . I can understand people’s frustrations if we lose I’ve done it myself time and time again in the early days knowing nothing at all blindly backing . So you either moan or start educating yourself . Look how rediculously knowledgable Alan is he is right up there and he can’t bang in winner after to put it in perspective and make everyone realise how difficult it is with so many variables against you . The only time you start winning is when you walk away haha
I was going to put up be dazzling for obvious reasons 2 Nd at 16/1 obv e/w but there is something to be said about betting on names that mean something personally to you . Everything in life happens for a reason and there are far to many coincidences and I know it will hurt me more not backing a name sake what ever the odds but it’s funny they do come in . Take yesterday. Darwell lion 13/2 fav at the time 2/9 . Obv my name is darren plus Hollie Doyle and racing post saying trainer has poor strike rate etc screams lump on for me I don’t mind losing what so ever any time any stake . And the bookies don’t help themselves how favs lose time and time again . To be fair gambling does reward someone those prepared to take a chance and go for it .and another thing when the betting is tight always bet on second fav they know people just hang about for the so say smart money and they won’t lose to much simply switching a 13/8 to a 2/1 . When the winner is pretty much a cert the bookies make it like 1/7 so 8/11 means to me false fav . Anyway we could all go on . I still think maybe that’s the best way to just jump on who ever is having a good day I’ve done it loads of times . Peace ha

Used to back today’s pick henryville back in the day when trained by Harry fry.
He’s an old dog now at 12, went to Peter Bowen and now with Sophie leech.
Been running in France recently, placed last 3 times before today.
Reason I only backed it only to place were his age, 12 is old for a hurdler but french racing isn’t the strongest.
Most of their better horses are snapped up at an early age by likes of nicholls, Henderson, Mullins etc.
Bit like football when good young players are snapped up by clubs here for the future..
Clan des oboex winner of the last 2 boxing day king George’s a perfect example, had one race in the French provinces as a 3 year old then immediately snapped up by Paul nicholls and the rest is history.
He must have a very good chance of a 3rd win on Saturday emulating 2 great horses who have done this in my lifetime, desert orchid and kauto star.
His 1st run this season behind Bristol de Mai wasn’t a bad effort considering Bristol de Mai at Haydock, on soft ground or worse is practically unbeatable there.

Exactly mate . I’ve taken loads of your winners so you have to take your losers that’s where level stakes come in . But I myself have been guilty of lumping on your naps that haven’t come in you either learn from it or not no point moaning. I don’t think anyone has the right to moan at anyone if you think you can do better have a go yourself . I feel sorry for Alan with the burden of having to pick out winners day after day . I suspect with his knowledge and experience he knows the key thing when not to bet if it’s your job . But I kinda take back what I said earlier a lot of us could pick out 1 winner a day if you were patient and disilplined but what the betting companies bank on is that most gamblers are anything but ha ha but with the right temperament it’s easy . I’m a bad loser so always try and do battle haha 😂

Has only had one run in 20 months, that was a close up 3rd to defi du seuil and un de sceau , 2 good animals.
Ran in the king George 2018 when 4-1 and unseated rider, Clan des oboex won that at 12-1 !!.
On Saturday Clan is 7-4 waiting patiently 16-1.
Feb 2019 beaten by cyrname when 2nd of 6 at Ascot in a class 1.
Waiting patiently went off favourite in this race.
Won a class 1 here in Jan 2018.
Feb 2018 beat cue card and frodon at Ascot in a class 1
Won 7 lower grade races on the trot before these races.
Personally I think the long lay off is a minus but as long as it’s not too heavy could run into a place if others disappoint

I guess any race is 50/50 it will either win or lose haha obviously bookies don’t like giving money away so if there was a chance they would nt be taking those kind of chances . I will always do my own picks and follow you win or lose as it always hurts when your gut picks come in . Like I say good on anyone who has a good day . You seem like a really decent bloke and I can understand why the serious punter might get put off . I’ve lost money backing you when you been on a roll lumping big instead of level stakes but we live and learn . But I can totally get your angle mate . When I have had the odd winner and a few people were on makes it that more sweeter helping out folk and the bookie is the enemy who shows no mercy ever !

Came 4th in this year’s Cheltenham festival cross country race behind stalemate and winner easyland.
Came 4th here earlier this month and a 9 pound claimer drops him right down the weights.
Might look for place only option later, anything approaching 2-1 for a top 4 would be ok.

Good luck . I think the hardest one to pick a winner is the South African stuff . Bet then you could argue they are making you work for your win as the odds have no true reference. I do like it when I back one or your naps and you obv know your stuff and you see the bookie mess about with the sps . The in running element on bet 365 is mental you see your horse 1/7 say and a while back that meant a done deal now it don’t mean a thing but there is a money making opportunity if your going to see the bet through to the death even when it shows say 6/1 in running it’s worth doing that if your gonna bet and potentially lose anyway just as well take a chance when it seems all is lost as I’ve seen a lot of times lately double digit in running win .
