We have some mouthwatering last-32 ties in the World Cup tonight and Brazil's clash with Japan takes top billing.

Carlo Ancelotti's side found some form in the final two Group C fixtures as they eased to successive 3-0 victories over Haiti and Scotland.

But Japan represent a big step up in class after the Samurai Blue went unbeaten in a tricky group that contained the Netherlands, Sweden and Tunisia.

Brazil vs Japan top betting tips

It's now 10 games unbeaten for Japan, an impressive run of results that includes a 3-2 friendly win over the Brazilians in Tokyo.

But Bet365 make them 4/1 rank outsiders for a victory in 90 minutes tonight and it's the samba stars who are hot 7/10 favourites.

Those odds look a bit off to me, with Ancelotti still searching the right formula, and the Japanese offer a bit of value at 23/20 in the double chance.

Vinicius Jr has been providing most of the Brazilian magic so far and his double against Scotland took the exciting winger's tally to four at this World Cup.

The Real Madrid star played more centrally against the Scots rather than hugging the left touchline and could be worth a punt at 6/4 for another goal tonight.

Germany vs Paraguay

I don't think many people would have bet on Paraguay reaching the knockout stages after their dismal 4-1 loss to the USA in the Group D opener.

But they scraped a 1-0 win over Turkey with 10 men then ground out a 0-0 draw with Australia to line up a last-32 clash with Germany.

Neither of those displays were particularly impressive though and it's easy to see why the Germans are 3/10 hot favourites tonight on the World Cup betting apps.

It's tricky finding value with Julian Nagelsmann's men such a short price but a win to nil looks worth a bet at evens with Bet365.

I'd imagine it will be a rearguard action from the Paraguayans and that makes Germany -3 another good option in the corner handicap at 20/21.

Netherlands vs Morocco

The late-night game should be a cracker for the night owls as the Netherlands lock horns with a dangerous Morocco side.

Both teams impressed in the group stage, claiming two wins and a draw, and the Moroccans were a little unlucky to finish behind Brazil on goal difference.

The Dutch also impressed as they comfortably beat Sweden and Tunisia after kicking things off with a 2-2 draw against Japan.

These teams look pretty evenly matched but Bet365 have Ronald Koeman's men as 4/7 favourites to reach the last 16, with Morocco looking a bit overpriced at 11/8 in the same market.

It's too close to call though and the smartest bet may be the half-time draw, which pays 11/10 with the same firm.

We've seen goals galore with the Dutch so far, with BTTS and over 3.5 goals landing in all three games. That suggests backing over 2.5 strikes tonight could pay off at 6/5 and the odds increase to 6/4 if you also back both teams to score.
