Aston Villa and Liverpool both have the chance to seal guaranteed Champions League football for next season when they face off in the Midlands tonight.
With sixth-placed Bournemouth four points behind both clubs with only two more Premier League games to play, a place at Europe's top table is probably already in the bag.
Villa can also secure a place in the Champions League by beating Freiburg in the Europa League Final but they'll be looking to get the job done tonight against an out-of-sorts Reds side.
Aston Villa vs Liverpool top betting tips
Aston Villa's European exploits have seen them take their eye off the ball domestically, with last weekend's 2-2 draw at relegated Burnley making it three Premier League games without a win.
That showpiece with Freiburg is looming in midweek so it will be interesting to see how strong a team Unai Emery fields tonight.
The bookies reckon Liverpool have the edge, with Arne Slot's side 7/5 favourites with most firms and Aston Villa as big as 15/8 at Betfair.
But the Anfield side have also been in poor form, taking just a point from their last two games, so I'm steering clear of backing a result and going for player bets.
Liverpool wonderkid Rio Nguhoma could get another chance to impress and looks good at 13/10 for a shot on target with BetMGM if he starts.
I also like the 11/8 on offer at Bet365 for Villa stopper Ezri Konsa to commit a foul, provided he's not rested ahead of the Europa League Final.
Partick Thistle vs Dunfermline Athletic
The SPFL Premiership play-off semi-final comes to a climax tonight as Partick Thistle and Dunfermline face off at Firhill.
A showdown with St Mirren awaits the victors and the tie is firmly in the balance at 1-1 after the first leg in Fife.
Thistle are now firm favourites to qualify at 4/9 while the Pars look a bit overpriced at 7/4 with Bet365 in the same market.
This is effectively a knockout tie now and Neil Lennon's side have shown they can handle that pressure by blazing a trail to the Scottish Cup Final.
The safest bet is going for another tight match and the half-time draw looks good at 6/5 with Bet365. That has landed in three of Dunfermline's last four games.
Salford City vs Grimsby Town
The League Two play-off semi-finals also come to a conclusion in the EFL tonight and Salford City are out to finish the job at home to Grimsby.
Salford took a big step towards a big day out at Wembley by winning 2-1 away from home in the first leg.
They've only lost one of their last eight matches so it's easy to see why City are now just 2/9 to reach the final.
A draw would take Salford City through but I'm going to back them for a home win as the odds are decent at 13/10 with Betfred.
Grimsby Town need at least two goals to turn this tie around so they have to go for it. That makes over 4.5 Grimsby corners another good option at 21/20 with BetMGM.
