All eyes will be on Anfield on Super Sunday as Liverpool take on Manchester City in the Premier League.
Whilst there’s been plenty of talk about Manchester City off the field over the prolonged international break, things have gone perfectly on the pitch for Enzo Maresca.
The Cityzens have won each of their opening five Premier League fixtures so far this season, with the latest being an entertaining 5-3 victory at home to Sunderland – on an afternoon I landed a 3/4 winner.
That result leaves Manchester City sitting top of the Premier League table, three points clear of champions Arsenal.
Liverpool come into this clash off the back of four wins across their last five matches in all competitions following a 0-1 win at the Vitality against winless Bournemouth.
However, that was only the Reds’ second win in the Premier League this season, with Andoni Iraola’s hosts drawing each of the other three – including both matches at Anfield against Nottingham Forest and Fulham.
How the bookies view it: City slight favourites
Manchester City are slight favourites to maintain their 100% start in the Premier League this season, with bet365 pricing an away success at 29/20.
Liverpool are 17/10 to claim all three points, whilst the draw pays 13/5.
Head to head: Three wins on the spin for City
Manchester City have won each of their last three meetings against Liverpool, including a dramatic late 1-2 victory on their last visit to Anfield in February.
However, that was only Manchester City’s second win at Anfield in the Premier League since May 2003 (W2-D7-L14).
Players to watch: Haaland to score again?
Erling Haaland has once again been in fine form for Manchester City this season, finding the back of the net in each of his previous three appearances for the Cityzens, scoring seven goals.
The big Norwegian has also scored five goals across his previous three appearances against Liverpool – including the stoppage-time winner at Anfield last season – and has to be backed at 20/21 to get on the scoresheet once again.

Predicted line-ups:
Liverpool are missing Hugo Ekitike, Conor Bradley, Giovanni Leoni, Federico Chiesa and Cody Gakpo due to injury.
Manchester City look set to be without Nico O’Reilly and Antoine Semenyo due to injury, whilst Phil Foden is suspended following his red card at Old Trafford last weekend.
Liverpool: Alisson, Araujo, Gomez, van Dijk, Kerkez, MacAllister, Szoboszlai, Munoz, Wirtz, Barcola, Isak
Manchester City: Donnarumma, Nunes, Dias, Guehi, Gvardiol, Anderson, Fernandez, Doku, Cherki, Ndiaye, Haaland
Anything else catch the eye?
Manchester City know they’ll receive a hostile atmosphere at Anfield on Sunday from the stands, which can easily translate onto the pitch.
Over 4.5 Cards comfortably landed in all three meetings between the pair last season, and a repeat pays 4/5 at bet365 which appeals to me.
There was also a red card in the corresponding fixture last season, and a repeat can be backed at 11/4 at bet365.
