The weather could be the biggest winner this weekend as Storm Eunice continues to cause havoc across the country and looks set to have an impact on today's fixtures.
Unusually for a Saturday there are eight Premier League matches today with six of them kicking-off at 3pm. Fingers crossed.
Arsenal will be out to avenge their opening day defeat at Brentford and should be good for three points at the Emirates at 4/9.
It should be a matter of how many for Liverpool at Anfield where Norwich City are the visitors. The Reds have scored 35 goals against the Canaries in their last 10 meetings and are 11/8 (Bet365) to score over 3.5 today.
Southampton have gone under the radar recently but they've lost just one of their last 10 (W4 D5 L1) and will see today's match against Everton as an opportunity to extend that run. The visitors desperately need to turn around their away form which has seen them win just one of 11 on the road. Even under Frank Lampard the Toffees look like they'll still continue to be better in front of their own fans but could get on the scoresheet and help toward BTTS at 4/6.
In the evening match, Spurs must be dreading their trip to the Etihad. Man City have been flying in the last few weeks and blew Sporting away with a stunning 5-0 first leg win in Lisbon. It was the 14th time they've scored four or more already this season. Things don't appear to be well with Antonio Conte's side who have lost three on the trot in the league and the Italian has been cutting a frustrating figure. It could be a long night for the Londoners and over 3.5 match goals appeals at 11/8.
In Scotland Kilmarnock can take advantage of the dissaray surrounding Raith Rovers. Derek McInnes' tenure as Killie boss hasn't got off to the kind of start he'd have liked but a 2-1 win over Dunfermline got things back on track last weekend and Kyle Lafferty's double proved just how valuable he'll be in the run-in as they chase down Arbroath in top spot.
Raith are winless in nine and the club can't much fun to be around at the moment. Killie at 4/5 is too good to miss.
Ross County should be good for a goal at Easter Road. Despite being 10th in the table only Celtic and Rangers have scored more than the Staggies. 19 of their 26 games have seen both teams score and with Hibs desperate for a win BTTS could land at 10/11.

I’m not as convinced as normal on tonight’s predictions, but here’s my thinking….
There’s only one question to answer when it comes to Khan V Brook, and that is, which will last the longer? Khan’s chin or Kell’s eye?
Khan should start the fight working the eye, but at what point does he get drawn into a brawl? And when he inevitably does, will Kell have enough left to land big?
I’m leaving towards Khan, but like I said earlier, I’m not as confident as normal.

– Paksi have seen BTTS/o2.5 goals in 18/20 of their league games this year. An incredible stat. They’re away to third place Kisvarda, who are good at home but that shouldn’t stop Paksi who have scored in every game so far this season, including a 0-3 thumping of top placed Ferencvarosi last away game proving they score away at the top teams also.
– Nearly even money for something that has a 91% success rate has to be taken on in my opinion.
– 14/20 Paksi games have gone o3.5 so the 6/4 price seems generous. Place this bet every week and you’ll see plenty of profit.

Boxing Khan vs Brook
I’m personally not sure how this fight plays out in terms of a winner; both are 35 now in the back ends of their careers and have been inactive (especially Khan who was last in a non – sparring fight two and a half years ago against a career featherweight) however I think Khan getting knocked down is a very real possibility.
Khan utilises his blistering hand speed by effectively by getting in and out of range and throwing punches in bunches. The problem with this is his feet are not always properly set while focusing on the attack, so he gets clipped and goes down frequently in fights. Brook has exceptional timing – in the top trumps of boxing timing beats speed every single time!
Khan has been knocked down by 3 of his last 5 opponents including a knockdown by mediocre gatekeeper Samuel Vargas on a big Matchroom promotions bill. Brook has scored knockdowns in two of his last 5 fights. Interestingly, all the knockdowns Amir Khan has suffered in his career have arrived in the 6th round or earlier.
As I say its hard to pick a winner and to know what both guys have left at this stage but for me, unless Khan has dramatically changed his fighting style overnight (which I seriously doubt) and unless Brook has stopped throwing sharp counter punches (again I doubt as he was countering Crawford in the early stages just over a year ago) I’m nearly certain Khan goes down in this fight regardless of the final result.

I used to love Khan whenhe came onto the scene – lighting fast and an incredible prospect. Alas, he faded rather than matured as his career went on.

Just a note on corner betting whilst we’re at it.
It’s not everyone’s cup of tea and it’s what I’d call a marmite market – you either love it or you hate it.
For a long time I always had it down as a bit of a lottery but have found it certainly has it’s place and have grown quite fond of it – it’s certainly not a ‘mug’s market’ as some think it is!
Saw this quote a while back from one of the Betfair team which sums it up in better words than I can use:
“There will always be those who will feel that betting on corners and cards is as random as betting on what colour energy drink the right-back will guzzle down when the physio comes on. But they’re wrong. It’s no different to betting on who will win a football match or how many goals there might be in it. Hull, I agree with you defending yourself and I have no issue with corners bets but I think you are doing yourself a disservice printing that second paragraph from Betfair. With the computing power and manpower the big companies have, it’s pie in the sky to think they aren’t researching the markets they offer and that you can gain an edge on them sitting at home with a spare five minutes and a pocket calculator. If a bookie hasn’t researched a market they don’t offer it. And if they have somehow mispriced a market they will react almost instantly to the money coming in and the odds will fall. So the second paragraph is just marketing BS. Not attacking you, not agreeing with that other guy, just saying that second paragraph is garbage. This isn’t the 60s with someone with a fag in their mouth and an actuarial table, this is a global market with computers recalculating in nanoseconds.

Totally respect what you are saying…and agree…my point was just that there is often better value to be had in ‘alternative markets’ and to not ust write them off as a mugs bet as had been suggested.
Clydeman I think you might need to re read the post, I wasn’t having a go at Hull, I was pointing out that *any* markets a bookie has offered have been computed thru multiple statistical models and algorithms using the giant computing power they have. There is no such things as an under researched market. If they don’t have the time / don’t see enough interest in a market, they won’t offer it – have a look at the scarcity of offers on women’s games for example.
