MANCHESTER CITY will be looking to make it seven Premier League wins on the spin when they meet Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux on Saturday afternoon.
Following last season's historic treble, the star-studded Sky Blues have made a flawless start in pursuit of what would be an unprecedented fourth top-flight title on the trot.
Last weekend, Pep Guardiola's team made it a perfect six wins from six in the Premier League with a 2-0 victory against Nottingham Forest at the Etihad, despite Rodri's red card early into the second-half.
However, City did suffer their first setback of the season on Wednesday night when being knocked out of the Carabao Cup in a 1-0 defeat at Newcastle.
As for Wolves, it has been a pretty underwhelming start to the season, with Gary O'Neil's side losing four of their opening six league games of the season, though they did pick up a point away at Luton last Saturday.
However, a 3-2 Carabao Cup defeat at Ipswich Town on Tuesday night will have done little for morale for the men from Molineux, and they can expect little in the way of respite when a wounded Manchester City side come calling this weekend.
Outright Betting
Wolves have yet to win a Premier League home game this season and unsurprisingly the bookies' odds suggest the wait will continue, with the hosts big outsiders at 17/2 (BetVictor) while the draw is an unfancied 9/2 (Bet 365).
Manchester City are short priced 3/10 (William Hill) favourites to maintain their 100% start to the new Premier League season.
Betting Angles
The price about another Man City success on Saturday can be given a handy boost up to 4/5 (Bet 365) via the Bet Builder market by including Erling Haaland to get on the scoresheet.
The Citizens striker has pretty much picked up from where he left off last season and he is once again out in front in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot.
Haaland took his top-flight tally to eight goals for the season in last weekend's 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest, meaning that the Norwegian has now notched in five of City's six Premier League assignments this season.
That alone will strike fear into the hearts of a Wolves side who have shipped 12 goals across their opening six league games of the season, with their only shutout of the campaign to date coming against a shot-shy Everton side.
It's also worth pointing out that City hot-shot Haaland hit four goals against the Old Gold last season, including a hat-trick when the pair last crossed paths at the turn of the year.
With that in mind, coupled with the fact that this combination has clicked in five of Man City's six Premier League wins this season, supporting the same Bet Builder in the Black Country on Saturday stands out at 4/5 (Bet 365).
Switching our attention now to the player card market, I'll also have a small play on Wolves' Nélson Semedo to have his name taken at 3/1 with William Hill.
The Portuguese right-back has already clocked up three cards in six top-flight outings this term and he should have his hands full here given that he is likely to be up against either Jack Grealish or Jeremy Doku.
