AC Milan will be aiming to continue their pursuit of the frontrunners as they travel to Salernitana for a Friday night Serie A fixture. The Rossoneri have looked sharp in recent weeks and should be too strong for the bottom side.
Salernitana are coming off a 4-1 hammering by Atalanta in their previous Serie A fixture. They opened the scoring early in the encounter through Lorenzo Pirola but capitulated after the break and went on to concede four times.
That was the third straight defeat for Salernitana, who are already looking like prime relegation candidates with barely half the season gone. Filippo Inzaghi’s men have actually picked up just two wins all season and have spent much of the campaign rooted to the bottom of the standings.

After a few stumbles, AC Milan appear to be returning to their best and have won three of their last four Serie A matches. They have risen to third on the standings but remain nine points behind local rivals Inter Milan at the top of the table.
While AC Milan were beaten 3-2 by Atalanta in their previous Serie A away fixture, their record on the road has been generally solid. They are unbeaten in six of their eight Serie A away matches this season with victories over Roma and high-flying Bologna among their results in that run.

AC Milan have never lost to Salernitana, claiming four wins and two draws from six previous meetings. The Rossoneri were unbeaten in this fixture last season and picked up a 2-1 victory at the Stadio Arechi back in January.
Players to watch
Much of Salernitana’s attacking play goes through Boulaye Dia, who is their leading scorer with four Serie A goals. The striker could be worth keeping an eye on to score anytime on Friday at 3/1 with BetVictor.
Olivier Giroud remains the leading scorer for AC Milan with eight goals this season and will be the one to watch on Friday. The striker was also on target in the last meeting with Salernitana back in March and is priced at 13/10 by Paddy Power to get on the score sheet.
