Poland are still trying to get a firm grip in a tight Group E of the European Championship qualifiers as they travel to Albania on Sunday. The Albanians are having a solid campaign but have a poor record against the Poles, who are likely to come out on top once again.
Albania have caught the eye in Group E of the European Championship qualifiers as they are currently holding their own and challenging near the top of the standings. They are currently one point behind leaders Czech Republic having picked up two wins and a draw from five matches.
The Albanians are coming off a 1-1 draw with Czech Republic in their previous qualifying fixture. They fought back from a goal down with Nedim Bajrami’s second half effort earning them a share of the spoils.
Albania have been away for much of the qualifiers and Sunday’s clash will be only their second home fixture in the campaign. Sylvinho’s men were victorious in their previous fixture in front of their fans, claiming a 2-0 victory over Moldova.

It has not been a particularly smooth qualifying campaign for Poland, who have claimed three wins and suffered two defeats from their five matches so far. Fernando Santos’ men are third on the table, two points of the pace.
The good news for Poland is that no one is running away with it in the group and they can go top of the standings with a win on Sunday. However, their record on their travels has been poor having lost their two away matches in the qualifiers.

Players to watch
Robert Lewandowski remains the biggest attacking threat for Poland and is coming off a brace in his last appearance. The striker often has support from Arkadiusz Milik and both men can ensure the Poles produce over 0.5 goals at 1/3 with William Hill.
