SIR SHOLOKHOV (3.55) has been despatched up north by Wantage-based trainer Harry Whittington for his chasing debut at Sedgefield.
He ran fourth in a Newbury novices’ hurdle 20 days ago and a clear round will see his gelding very hard to beat in this grade.

SADMA (12.30) produced a rabbit out of the hat when a 40-1 winner at Warwick 11 days ago and runner-up Detached shaped okay in fifth behind Reverend Jacobs at Wetherby on Tuesday. That form gives Sadma a great chance in the conditional jockeys' handicap hurdle at Chepstow, with Jumping Cats the most likely danger.

Win by a midgies certain hair but certainly the best horse.
Another fairly ordinary looking days racing ahead.
One very interesting runner though is Gameface in the 3.22 sedge. Currently 5/1.
This horse was sold for £145K to JP after he was runner up in a P2P beaten 1/2L by none other than Monkfish. Other horses in that race were, Fury Road, Chantry House and Fiddlerontheroof.
He’s obviously had issues with so much time between races but the fact that JP hasn’t sold him on has to be a positive.
He races here off a mark of 80 and this is also the first time he will have ran this distance since that point race. Better ground may also help.
Still only 7yrs old so still has time to find some form.

Decent stayer from the flat now and was well beaten LTO albeit in better class. Drops in class today and hope the better ground brings out his best here.
Imphal along with Jumping Cats in the first are owned by very poor tipster Ashley Carr. When the money is down on his own horses, they’re never far away, but the bookies don’t seem to have taken any chances today.
Loosejim – I followed Ashley Carr for a while on a subscription basis, lost a lot of money on his special bets, learnt a lesson very quickly that your own judgement is best, he used to back a lot of Brian Ellisons horses without much luck in agreement a bad tipster

Yep I have choosen one in a Mares (Ladies Pro/Am) INH Flat Race but hard to knock the performance in any way LTO and it will take a very good one to beat her.
Yeah it has the best form and 2/2 for horse most keep saying “will be hard to beat” is good enough for me.

in fairness ive seen it often enough but im not backing a 85/40 shot when it was put up here at 13/8, long run i think its the play. that being said im willing to risk money on VICTORY ECHO, won over 2m off 112, 5 above that, been BD since and pulled up over 4f further, 7/1, only 2 places, its down the side of the sofa stakes.
