The final spot in the World Cup quarter-finals will be decided on Tuesday night when Switzerland and Colombia meet at BC Place in Vancouver.
Both nations were widely regarded as pre-tournament dark horses, a view that would only be strengthened further by another win here.
After opening their campaign with a disappointing 1-1 draw against Qatar, Switzerland have found their stride, beating Bosnia and Canada to top Group B before easing past Algeria 2-0 in the round of 32.
Colombia, meanwhile, caught the eye by finishing above Portugal to win Group K before edging past Ghana by a single goal in the knockout stage.
A strong case can be made for either side in what promises to be a tightly contested encounter.
With little to separate the pair, I’ll instead focus on a player-based selection.
The angle that stands out is Davinson Sanchez to be fouled at least once at 4/5 with bet365.
The Colombian centre-back is a commanding physical presence who regularly attracts contact, both in aerial duels and through his willingness to carry the ball out from the back.
That was evident against Ghana, where the 30-year-old was fouled on multiple occasions, while he also won a free-kick against DR Congo during the group stage.
That trend extends beyond this tournament, with Sanchez being fouled at least once in each of his six appearances for Colombia in the build-up to the World Cup.
Notably, he was also brought down in 14 of his final 21 appearances for Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig last season.
This selection is further strengthened by the likelihood of Breel Embolo being in direct battle with Sanchez.
The Switzerland forward likes to throw his weight around and has committed at least one foul in three of his four World Cup appearances so far, including 2+ against both Qatar and Canada.
With all that in mind, Sanchez looks well worth backing to be fouled at least once during this last 16 showdown.
