AN apology from Romelu Lukaku appears to have smoothed things over with boss Thomas Tuchel, which can only be good news for Chelsea ahead of their Carabao Cup semi-final first leg tie against Spurs.

The Belgian striker missed the Blues' 2-2 draw with Liverpool at the weekend after publicly expressing his frustration at life at Stamford Bridge this season.
The match sees Antonio Conte make his return to the Bridge, where he spent two succesful seasons that delivered the Premier League and FA Cup, but this time he'll be plotting the downfall of his former club as he tries to land his first piece of silverware as Spurs boss. But he may have a fresh selection issues due to further concerns around positive tests within his squad.
Conte has added some steel to the North-Londoners since his arrival and has only tasted defeat once in his 11 games in charge so far. This will be his most important assignment so far but history isn't on Spurs' side. They've failed to win in their last nine London derbies against Chelsea over 90 minutes (D3 L6) – their last victory coming in the first leg clash of the 2019 semi-final.
Similarly Chelsea are unbeaten in eight and showed some resolve when coming from two down to claim a point against Liverpool on Sunday.
Chelsea are favourites at 19/20 whilst Spurs are 14/5 with Bet365.
With the semi-final played over two legs and another 90 minutes to follow at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next week you'd expect the Blues to shade the first leg but despite boasting one of the best defensive records in the Premier League they've kept just two clean sheets in their last 10 games, conceding 14 in the process so if Spurs go strong with their line-up, i.e. if Kane, Son and Moura start then they can get on the scoresheet.
