Falkirk's run as SPFL Invincibles is over but they're still on track for a second successive promotion after beating Championship title rivals Ayr at the weekend.

John McGlynn's side 43-game unbeaten league run ended at Raith Rovers but they responded in the best possible way as a 2-0 home victory over the Honest Men moved them level on points with Scott Brown's side.

Tonight's clash with Livingston is the first of two games in hand but it's another big test, with the third-placed Lions the only unbeaten side left in the Championship.

David Martindale's men are looking to bounce back to the top flight after relegation and a victory in Falkirk would move them level on points with the Bairns.

Falkirk vs Livingston top betting tips

Livingston's promotion push has been built on a solid defence, with Martindale's side keeping a clean sheet in four of their last five games.

But Falkirk always play expansive football so it's hard to predict if this will be a thriller or a snorefest. Much will depend on whether we get an early breakthrough but I fancy the half-time stalemate at 11/10 with Betano.

With the Bairns having a few key forwards out injured, I'm also leaning towards under 2.5 goals, which pays 20/23 at the same firm.

Milton Keynes Dons vs Arsenal Under-21s top betting tips

There's a full card of EFL Trophy matches tonight and it's always fascinating to see how the top-flight Under-21 teams get on against teams from the lower leagues.

Backing Arsenal's kids to beat Leyton Orient paid off for me in the last round of fixtures and the Gunners now travel to Milton Keynes to take on the Dons.

MK Dons have found a bit of form, going four unbeaten in League Two, but lost their EFL Trophy opener to Colchester after making lots of changes,

That makes me think Arsenal Under-21s look worth a punt again at generous odds of 13/5 with Betano.

BTTS has landed in the last five for MK Dons and combining that with over 3.5 strikes tonight pays 13/10 in a bet builder.

Shrewsbury Town vs Birmingham City top betting tips

There's a tie between two League One teams in Shrewsbury as leaders Birmingham City take on a Shrews side in poor form.

Shrewsbury have claimed just one victory all season and blew a two-goal lead at Bolton on Saturday in their 2-2 draw.

Birmingham also had a disappointing weekend as they lost at Charlton so boss Chris Davies will be looking to bounce back with a win tonight.

Betano make the Blues 3/5 favourites but backing them to be winning at half-time and full-time boosts the odds to 6/4.

Davies will probably make a few changes and striker Lyndon Dykes looks good at 15/8 for anytime scorer with Bet365 if he's promoted from the bench.

Tuesday's Football Tips: Super singles

  • Half-time draw in Falkirk v Livingston 11/10 Betano
  • Arsenal U21s to win 13/5 Betano
  • Lyndon Dykes anytime scorer 15/8 Bet365
