Still, Kane is looking to win the individual honour for the second season running and continues to look hungry for it.

That signalled a big cut in his odds to be top scorer and thriving at the head of Frankfurt’s bold attacking approach and he’s well in the hunt.

Victor Boniface – 22/1
Victor Boniface has had a steady rather than spectacular season in front of goal for Leverkusen. Boniface was one of the stars of Bayer Leverkusen’s title-winning campaign last season, scoring 14 goals in 23 appearances. His strike rate needs to improve this season to get into the golden cannon race, however.

Serhou Guirassy – 25/1
Borussia Dortmund’s Serhou Guirassy is a talented forward, and with six goals in the campaign so far, looks to be comfortably heading towards a profitable season. It’s unlikely that he’ll be anywhere near the top goalscorer crown, however, as BVB are too hit-and-miss with their form.

Tim Kleindienst – 40/1
A new name in the Bundesliga goalscoring race this week is Monchengladbach’s Tim Kleindienst. With a couple of goals in November moving him up to eight for the season, he has been fairly consistent in front of goals since the beginning of October and has quietly played his way into the frame.

Kane is a proven goalscorer, playing up front for the Bundesliga odds-on outright favourites. With four goals in three games early in the new season, he became the quickest player in Bundesliga history to reach 50 goal involvements (40 goals, 10 assists), doing so in just 35 games. Given the strength of Bayern, he should have enough to go the distance and edge Marmoush and other contenders, injuries permitting.
