Saturday wasn't amazing by any means, but a 3/1 winner in the shape of Rohaan and a placed effort from Checkandchallenge at drifted odds of 12/1 made it a small but profitable day. As for the others, Give It Some Teddy was on the receiving end of a terrible ride where Duran Fentinman decided to grab the rail but sit far back, making it virtually impossible to get a clear run. Sonny Liston who was the first selection was terrible and I won't be touching him again.

The Prix de l'Abbaye is always a good spectacle and a race which can throw up an odd result, such as Marsha, Mabs Cross, Glass Slippers and even last year's winner A Case Of You, who all won at around double-priced odds.
The horse I like for this has been nibbled at in the market so isn't a stupidly high price, but I still think she is a very good horse if getting the race conditions so I'll still be backing her. TERESA MENDOZA makes the trip over from Ireland from Kevin Condon's yard and I can see why they fancy their chances of rolling the dice in the Group 1. She needs a strong gallop to be seen to best effect so with horses who only know one way of racing like The Platinum Queen who will bomb off from the front, this race could be set up perfectly for her. She'll have to run a career best to land this race, but like I mentioned before some horses tend to run their best race in this race and the fact she is an EW price I think she looks a solid bet and a horse who could definitely run into the places at the very minimum.
There are some horses in this who I do like a lot but I've opted to go against. The favourite, The Platinum Queen is an obvious pick running off a low weight, has good form and is the one they all have to beat. However, she is travelling for the first time which could be a daunting task for a 2yo and she has to prove she handles soft conditions, which is a big question to answer.
Mitbaahy is a horse I rate a lot and it was good to be on the winning side of his recent win after getting some rubbish rides on him earlier this season, I would like his chances but he is drawn very wide and that is often seen to be a big negative in this race.
