Cairnzy will be covering Sunday's Lucky 15 bet. Rizz will return next week with his selections for next weekend's racing.

I had free time on Saturday and offered to cover one of the threads for Rizz to take some of the workload off his back.

Saturday's Lucky 15 bet resulted in just the one winner, which came in the shape of Aalto for jockey William Buick. A few of the others ran okay races, but as a whole, I was disappointed to only walk away with one winner.

Sunday's Lucky 15 bet will be advised as an each-way play.

Valiant Force – 14.00 Dundalk 13/2

Jockey bookings would tell you that Ipanema Queen is the stronger horse of the Robson Aguiar pair, but I still thought Valiant Force was a good each-way, and on his day, he brings a bit of class to this field.

Valiant Force has been competing in stronger company than this for much of his career, and a return to this level could prove the difference for a revival. He’s drawn nicely if breaking well, and he has the pace to if on a going day to give him a chance in the run-in. His form figures on turf this year are quite concerning, but I’m hoping a drop into calmer waters could see him bounce back. 13/2 looks a fair each-way price.

Krasimir 6/4 – 15:10 Dundalk

Those that follow my Lucky 15 tips will know I like to add a shorter priced selection in, and this time around it’s the mount of Colin Keane.

My selection has shown enough to suggest a breakthrough success isn’t far away, having hit the frame in his last five starts. It is always a worry when you see a horse with that many placed efforts; sometimes they just can’t get over the line, but this field looks very much beatable and the form he brings looks the best on offer. Not much stood out besides the mount of Dylan Brown McMonagle, who is enjoying a fine season this term.

Ras Kassar 9/2 – Perth 2.41

Rizz had some success on the main thread when tipping up the Rian Corcoran and David Pipe combo, and I’m hoping I’ll have some of the same luck with Ras Kassar.

My selection looks a fair play at 9/2, and jockey Rian Corcoran is well worth his 5lb claim. Ras Kassar, I think, has more to offer over the larger obstacles and making his debut on British soil, he could be an interesting play. He can be ridden both cold and from the front, and I’ll be interested to see how he gets on.

The forecast good ground should play to his strengths, and his current mark looks to have some room in it.

Wasdell Dundalk 7/1 – Perth 3.51

I've noticed that Rizz has stuck up Wasdell Dundalk, and he was a horse I really liked the look of as well.

Bet365 are offering three places for this race instead of two, which makes him a very solid each-way play in this race.

He gets on well at Perth, with a decent record at the track. The idea of sending him back over three miles on the back of a good effort over shorter should see him going close.
