Today looks a tough day for us punters, I've decided to avoid the big meeting at Newbury as nothing caught my eye. Good luck if you're following and with whatever you're backing!
Uttoxeter 1:25
This is a pretty trappy contest for the grade, so small stakes advised on this horse, but there is definitely potential as a chaser for STAR ACADEMY. He didn't get very far on his chase debut in November where he fell at the first but there are reasons to suggest he could run a decent race today.
He clearly handles the soft ground, having been placed on his last two hurdle runs which were on soft ground. The form of those races look quite good now, with the winners of both races winning subsequently. He has the frame of a chaser, and it's no surprise to see him being transferred to fences so early in his racing career, as he is built to jump a fence.
He is a 8yo, so time isn't on his side, but he is with the right yard if he is going to go anywhere. Venetia continues to be in red-hot form, with 8 wins in the last 14 days, operating at a 31% SR, and a 25% SR for the season. Harry Banister isn't a usual rider for Venetia, but his strike rate is 3 wins and 2 places from 5 rides, so it goes to show that she doesn't let him ride no hopers when her main jockeys aren't able to ride.
Warwick 3:15
A bit of a risky one, but could pay dividends if he jumps better, and I'm willing to put my money on the line to find out, as I think a mark of 132 is well within reach. JACAMAR clearly has bags of talent, but whether he can put in a clear round of jumping is the main question.
His form is tied in with Our Power who beat Jacamar by a head in December. Jacamar was 1lb lighter than the winner that day, but jumped poorly, and now receives 4lbs, so with a clear round of jumping he should be able to reverse the form. The form since they met has been good, as he has managed to grab a win, and then ran a good race in the Paddy Power Grade 3 at Cheltenham in January, where he travelled well through the race, but his jumping let him down again. That was a tough race, which should produce some good form, and the Racing Post thought his performance was 6lbs better than his rating, yet he has been dropped 1lb.

1.15 It would be easy to say Bravemansgame will win as he’s by far the class horse, but he’s giving Pats Fancy 16lbs. Pats Fancy beat Imperial Alcazar by 11L lto. IA came out and won by 10L next time so the form has been well and truly franked and with the Nicholls Yard in turmoil I think Pats Fancy is worth a go at the odds.

It’s difficult to know what way Sky Pirate will be campaigned for the remainder of the season as he’s on a rating of 157 which is too high for h’caps at Cheltenham and he’s not quite a top level horse so maybe races like this will be his focus.

Yeah got down and loaded quickly at Oaklawn as they were behind time they do that in US,you’d been lucky to get on in few minutes and na no double.
I found the racing on a US broadcaster that’s goes on from Sky channel and Oaklawn Park isn’t a myth…I’ve seen it!

Meant to say Barry Faulkner from ATR was flying last night with his tips.
I had a couple of small wagers while watching.
Peter Fontale of ATR to who’s been on ‘Stateside live’ past few Saturdays via Zooom had 5/6 in a row last week and more on the night.
Most were put up in his blog on ATR much earlier. Had a few singles and later on had some small doubles with his picks,some very good prices and he came up trump! ;)
All small stakes for intrest really but maximum profit!
