France v Spain

After landing a 20/23 winner in Argentina’s win over Switzerland in the quarter-finals, Greg MacLean is tasked with selecting his bet builder for France’s World Cup semi-final clash with Spain on Tuesday night.

⚽️ France vs Spain, Tuesday (20:00)

France and Spain battle it out for a place in the World Cup final on Tuesday night in Dallas, Texas, in what promises to be a mouthwatering tie.

France maintained their faultess record in North America this summer, as they secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over 2022 semi-finalists Morocco.

Despite missing a first-half penalty, Kylian Mbappe gave Les Blues the lead on the hour mark thanks to a terrific curling strike, before ex-PSG teammate Ousmane Dembele doubled their lead six minutes later.

After a slow start to the tournament in which they were held to a goalless draw by Cape Verde, Spain have been victorious in each of their next five matches.

Fabian Ruiz’s opener was cancelled out by that Charles De Ketelaere header for the Red Devils just before halftime in their quarter-final tie with Belgium last time out, but for the second game in a row, Mikel Merino scored a late winner for La Roja to send them through to the next stage.

Kylian Mbappe Over 1.5 Shots on Target

Kylian Mbappe has fired a total of 30 shots across France’s six World Cup matches this summer, with 19 of those on target.

The French captain has had a minimum of two shots on target in all six of those encounters, and I’m expecting that trend to continue in Dallas on Tuesday night as he continues to hunt for the Golden Boot.

Adrien Rabiot 1+ Fouls Committed

Adrien Rabiot has been France’s most prolific fouler in North America this summer, averaging 1.8 fouls per game.

The Milan midfielder has committed at least one foul in 4/5 (80%) of his matches this tournament – only failing to do so against an ultra-defensive Paraguay side – and will have a tough task against Spain’s midfield.

Pedro Porro 1+ Fouls Committed

Spain’s most prolific fouler in the tournament is Pedro Porro, as he has also averaged 1.8 fouls per game.

The Spurs right back has committed a foul in all four of his appearances for La Roja in this competition – including four against Belgium in the previous round – and he’ll have his work cut out against France’s attacking quartet.

Recommended Bet:

  • Kylian Mbappe Over 1.5 Shots on Target
  • Adrien Rabiot 1+ Fouls Committed
  • Pedro Porro 1+ Fouls Committed
  • Pays 1/1 (bet365)
