Friday’s football tips: Arsenal new boy Tzolis 2/1 for another assist against Coventry City

Coventry City are back in the big time but they couldn't have asked for a tougher opener as they visit Premier League champions Arsenal tonight.

Frank Lampard led City to the Championship title last term and they're now looking forward to their first top-flight campaign in 26 years.

It's a big step up in class for Lampard's side though and the Gunners look to be in ominous form after thrashing Manchester City 3-0 in the Community Shield last weekend.

Arsenal vs Coventry City top betting tips

Mikel Arteta's side were worthy champions last term and they've added even more class to their squad in the shape of Bruno Guimaraes, Christos Tzolis and Ezri Konsa.

So it's hard to see Coventry springing a shock at the Emirates and Bet365 make the promoted side 14/1 outsiders.

Arsenal are just 2/11 so it's hard finding value but backing them to win both halves gets you into odds-against territory at 5/4 with Bet365.

New boy Tzolis impressed in the Community Shield, setting up two goals, and another assist tonight looks good value at 2/1.

Inverness CT vs Partick Thistle

Partick Thistle are the only team with maximum points after two games in the SPFL Championship but they have a tough game on the road tonight against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

The Highlanders are back in the second tier after winning promotion and have made a decent start so far, picking up two draws.

A long trip north isn't ideal on a Friday night and Bet365 can't separate the sides, with both priced at 29/20 for a win.

Another draw for Caley Thistle pays 23/10 and that could pay off but I'm going for the half-time stalemate instead at 6/5.

Both of Inverness' Championship games so far have failed to produce a single goal but they were involved in a 6-2 thriller with Hearts in their last outing in the League Cup.

I can see this one being quite cagey and betting against BTTS pays 11/10 with Bet365.

Real Betis vs Real Sociedad

Real Betis had an excellent La Liga campaign last season and will be looking to get off to a flier this time around when they host Real Sociedad.

Manuel Pellegrini's side finished fifth last term and that was enough to secure a return to the Champions League after a 21-year absence.

Real Sociedad also secured a place in the Europa League but that was down to their Copa Del Rey success and they could only finish 10th in the league.

Both meetings were thrillers last term, with Betis winning 3-1 in Valencia before playing out a 2-2 draw in the Basque region.

That makes me think we'll see goals tonight and over 2.5 strikes looks decent value at evens with Bet365. Adding on BTTS boosts the odds to 13/10.

Those duels last term were pretty spicy, with 13 yellows and one red card flashed. Over 4.5 cards pays 5/6 at Bet365 while Betis midfielder Valentin Gomez is evens for over 1.5 fouls.
