While many punters naturally gravitate towards backing a winner, betting on a draw can be a smart and rewarding alternative.

Queen’s Park vs Morton (Saturday, 15:00)
It may still be early in the season, but Saturday's meeting between Queen's Park and Morton already carries the feel of a relegation six-pointer. The two sides sit in the bottom two positions in the Scottish Championship with just one point apiece, so there could be an element of neither wanting to lose this one. That makes the draw an attractive proposition, particularly after both teams picked up their first point of the season last weekend.
Queen's Park held title favourites Partick Thistle to a goalless draw, while Morton battled to a 1-1 stalemate away at Ayr United.
With both sides showing signs of becoming harder to beat, another low-scoring draw looks worth siding with at Lesser Hampden.
Queen of the South vs Airdrie (Saturday, 15:00)
A similar line of thinking applies at Palmerston Park on Saturday afternoon, where two of Scottish League One's early-season strugglers meet as Queen of the South host Airdrie. Both sides were expected to challenge towards the upper end of the table this season, but neither has managed to get going so far.
Queen of the South are still waiting for their first point, while Airdrie remain without a league win after five matches. The Diamonds have drawn three of those five games, including a goalless affair with East Fife last weekend, while they also played out a 0-0 draw with Cove Rangers last month.
With confidence likely to be fragile in both camps, another tight contest where neither side is willing to give too much away could be on the cards at Palmerston Park.
