Liverpool take a slender one-goal lead to Craven Cottage tonight as they and Fulham battle it out for a place in the EFL Cup final.
The Reds had to come from behind to win the first leg after Willian gave Fulham an early lead. Second half goals from Curtis Jones and Cody Gakpo turned the match around to leave the tie in the balance this evening.
The bookies make it Liverpool’s to lose, chalking them up at 1/8 to qualify with Fulham at 5/1. Only a win will keep the hosts in the tie and that’s 3/1. For Liverpool to qualify with another victory its 4/5.
Although Liverpool don’t need to win this one it’s hard to see them doing anything other than going for the victory but the draw will do them so there’s not point in getting involved at just 4/5.

Craven Cottage will be loud tonight, Fulham are 1-2 down from the first leg and the first job for Liverpool will be to try and silence the crowd, the way to do that is scoring early and I’m pretty sure that’s what Liverpool will look to do. Liverpool have been notorious slow starters in games this season but I don’t expect that here as Fulham will attack from the off and I think there’s good value on there being a few first half goals especially if Liverpool score first, this game could be a classic.

Just a note to anyone betting with skybet in play just had a major blow out with them.
