Welcome back to MFT’s 10-1,000 betting challenge, where we aim for a 100x return on the original investment via a small stake betting strategy, prioritising low risk and low odds en route to a long-term target.
While this column is dedicated to high-probability tips, there is no guarantee of profit. If playing along, you should consider your own budget and confidence in the tip provided, and make your own decision whether to follow, cash out or continue at every stage. 18+, please gamble responsibly.
We will use a unit system for our stakes, allowing readers to set their own unit value that suits their own budget. For the sake of simplicity, for us, 1 unit = £1.
We will continue to transparently track our progress as far as we go on the path to 1,000, but will refresh our main tracking stake back to the starting point every time we surpass 100 units – a 10x ROI.
For the sake of consistency, all tips are placed using odds from bet365. It worth pointing out that with Bet365 we can paid out if our selection goes into a lead by two or more goals.
England's 3-0 victory on Tuesday night secured our sixth winning bet. With the international break now over, the expanded fixture list gives us more matches and markets to assess for this column.
Bet 7 – West Ham vs QPR – Friday 9th October at 20.00
West Ham host Queens Park Rangers after making a strong attacking start to the Championship season. The recommended angle requires West Ham to score at least once and the match to produce two or more goals.
West Ham have scored in all eight league matches, finding the net 22 times. They have scored at least twice in six fixtures, while every game has contained a minimum of two goals.
The underlying numbers support those results. West Ham have generated 18.70 xG, averaging 2.34 per match. They have also recorded 126 shots, 47 attempts on target and 94 efforts from inside the penalty area. Their 35 big chances represent an average of 4.38 per game.
Their attacking output has been stronger at home. West Ham have scored 14 goals across four matches, with returns of one, four, three and six. Those performances produced 11.57 xG, an average of 2.89, alongside 73 shots and 29 efforts on target.
All four West Ham home matches have produced over 1.5 goals. The same outcome has landed in three of Queens Park Rangers' four away games. The exception was their goalless draw at Charlton Athletic.
Queens Park Rangers have kept two clean sheets in eight league fixtures. They conceded in their other six games and have allowed a goal in three of their four matches on the road.
There is protection if Queens Park Rangers struggle to contribute. West Ham have cleared the required match total by themselves three times at home. Their consistent scoring record, chance volume and home production provide several routes for the selection to land.
- Bet: West Ham over 0 goals and over 1.5 match goals
