MANCHESTER CITY are just two wins from another Premier League title and it's hard to see them slipping up when they head to inconsistent Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs' new stadium hasn't been a happy hunting ground for Pep Guardiola's side and they've won just once on their last six visits.

But that victory came in their last game there in the FA Cup and Tottenham's recent form does little to suggest they will do city rivals Arsenal a favour by taking points off Manchester City.

A 2-1 weekend victory over Burnley ended a four-game losing run and Spurs still have a chance of catching fourth-placed Aston Villa but they will need to upset the odds to keep their Champions League hopes alive.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester City Top Betting Tips

Bet365 make Manchester City 4/11 hot favourites and it's hard to disagree with the champions in ominous form. Backing Guardiola's men to be winning at half-time and full-time boosts the odds to 21/20 and that looks a smart bet.

Thrills are usually guaranteed with Ange Postecoglou's side and they will have a go. But that will leave them vulnerable on the break and I like the evens on offer for Spurs keeper Guigliemo Vicario to make over 4.5 saves.

Bernardo Silva's vision will be key to punishing the gaps left by Tottenham in defence. He provided two assists at the weekend and looks overpriced at 3/1 to set up another goal tonight. The Portuguese is also 11/8 to have a shot on target.

Rangers vs Dundee Top Betting Tips

It will be game over in the SPFL Premiership title race if Rangers follow up their Old Firm defeat by dropping more points at home to Dundee.

The bookies can't see the Dark Blues piling on more pain, with Gers 1/8 hot favourites at Bet365. But Tony Docherty's men could score against a defence decimated by injuries so BTTS appeals at 21/20.

Cyriel Dessers should lead the line for Rangers again and he's just 5/6 with Bet365 for anytime scorer. But the same firm price the Nigerian at 12/1 to score a header and that could be worth a long-odds punt.

Partick Thistle vs Raith Rovers Top Betting Tips

The SPFL play-offs are at the semi-final stage and Partick Thistle host Raith Rovers after seeing off Airdrieonians in the battle to win promotion to the Premiership.

Home advantage was key in that clash with the Diamonds as a big Firhill crowd roared Kris Doolan's men on. So I fancy the Jags for a first-leg win tonight at 23/20.

Raith Rovers usually have a go so we should see plenty of action at both ends. BTTS pays 4/6 while combining that with over 2.5 goals boosts the odds to 21/20.

Dumbarton vs Spartans Top Betting Tips

The race to reach SPFL League One also continues tonight and Spartans head to Dumbarton in high spirits after demolishing Peterhead 7-2 on aggregate.

Bet365 price Dougie Samuel's side at 8/5 for another win and that looks decent value after their weekend heroics.

Blair Henderson scored four times for Spartans across the two legs of the quarter-final so could be worth backing for another goal tonight at 6/5 with McBookie.

    Spurs v Man City
Man City to win -1.5 Asian Handicap at 1.980 (NAP) b365

Spurs to score in the second half at 5/6 b365

There’s talk of Spurs not wanting to win this game as it would give bitter rivals a chance of winning the league, however whilst there’s a slim chance of Champions League football and with them being professionals I do believe Spurs will give it a go. Spurs are in poor form and to me they look like they are already on their hols although they did narrowly beat Burnley last time out. Spurs have also been slow starters in games and most of their good work comes in the second half hence why I have taken Spurs to score second half at a fair price. City are on another level at present and are winning games easily scoring plenty, not saying this will be easy but they should cover a handicap given their form and goal scoring record.

How the hell is it a dodgy game to bet on???

    • maccathered 2 months ago

City are pretty consistent and you know how they are going to play so what’s dodgy about that???

    • Deano86 2 months ago

I just find it a strange scenario that’s all that’s why i won’t be betting on it , a Tottenham result hands Arsenal the incentive in the title race so you just don’t know what your guna get from them , whether it’s conscious or unconscious , obviously City are guna be bang at it which gives your bet a strong chance ,

Im bemused by the talk of Spurs lying down too prevent Arsenal winning the league….even more so with the final CL spot stil possible even if its improbable. Thats a mental thought process IMO. 2+ goals in both halves & BTTS be my shout……anyone got a price for this please? Phone in for repair & its a nitemare on my tv brower lol

Heard Ange being interviewed earlier. He was asked the same question about throwing the game, and was adamant they will be playing to win.

However … Spurs have cost me a small fortune over the years by stuffing up seemingly ‘nailed on’ games e.g. When Spurs played City in December 2023, City were 1.25 to win at home, Spurs being 9/1. So, you’d think City would easily walk it – but the result was a 3:3 draw.

Hence the phrase “Just Spurs being f&cking Spursey again!”

    Tottenham’s recent match corner count at home reads: 12, 14, 14, 9, 12, 14, 15, 8, 16 (v City), 11, 17, 11.
Spurs have received multiple cards in the last eight H2Hs in PL and in nine of their last 10 fixtures. The last seven H2Hs have seen at least 10 match corners. The two meetings this season saw 16 and 18 match corners and seven and eight yellows. Good luck.

Like last night nothing doing for a nap, so just this LONGSHOT as alaves are now safe and can relax and are in decent form and real have no real pressure at all and players won’t be leaving their foot in challenges in case they get injured and miss the champions league final, but they surely will still win

Thought Degerfors had ruined it with a 55th minute red card but a 90th minute penalty makes up for that! 😂
