Tip 1: BTTS & over 2.5 goals

Over 2.5 goals and both teams to score stands out as a strong betting angle when Galatasaray host Liverpool in the Champions League round of 16.

Both teams consistently produce attacking numbers that point toward chances at both ends. Liverpool generated 159 shots across eight matches, averaging almost 20 attempts per game, while hitting 63 shots on target and producing 43 big chances. Only two teams created more big chances in the competition.

That attacking pressure usually translates into goals. Liverpool scored 20 goals from 21.48 xG across their eight matches and failed to score in only one away fixture in the tournament.

Galatasaray also carry strong attacking output. Across 10 Champions League matches they produced 137 shots and 56 shots on target while creating 32 big chances. Their attacking process generated 17.14 xG and resulted in 16 goals.

Defensive numbers on both sides also support the case for goals. Galatasaray have conceded 19.89 xG across 10 matches while allowing 138 shots and 45 shots on target. 76.81% of those attempts have come from inside the penalty area, highlighting the quality of chances opponents create against them.

Liverpool defend better overall but still allow opportunities. Opponents have produced 69 shots and 24 shots on target against them across eight matches while scoring eight goals.

Match trends also point toward goals. Both teams scored in three of Galatasaray’s five home Champions League matches, while Liverpool scored in three of their four away fixtures.

With both sides regularly generating high shot volume, big chances and consistent attacking pressure, the conditions point toward a match where both teams score and the total goals line moves beyond 2.5.

Tip 2: Both teams to receive a card & BTTS

Newcastle United vs Barcelona (8pm)

Newcastle v Barcelona

Tipster: Darren Plant

Newcastle United and Barcelona square off in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Tuesday night.

Tip 1: Barcelona to win and both teams to score

There have been at least three goals in Barcelona's four away Champions League fixtures in 2025-26.

Meanwhile, there have been a total of 51 goals (31 scored, 20 conceded) in just 14 away La Liga matches.

A total of 52 goals have been netted (28 scored, 24 conceded) in Newcastle's 15 Premier League games at St James' Park.

Tip 2: Robert Lewandowski to score or assist

Hansi Flick has the option to use either Ferran Torres, Robert Lewandowski or Rashford down the middle of his attack.

With Ferran and Rashford not scoring since January, Lewandowski could get the nod after two consecutive appearances off the substitutes' bench.

Despite his restricted game time in 2025-26, the veteran Pole still has 14 goals in all competitions. His last strike was in the 4-1 win over Villarreal on February 28.

Tip 3: Barcelona to win (draw no bet)

Newcastle had lost three successive Premier League fixtures at St James' Park before their dramatic 2-1 win over Manchester United last week. They also lost 3-1 to Manchester City in the FA Cup on Saturday night.

Atletico Madrid vs Tottenham (8pm)

Atletico Madrid v Tottenham

Tipster: SlipsTips

Atletico Madrid and Tottenham will contest the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie at the Wanda Metropolitano on Tuesday night.

Tip 1: Alexander Sorloth To Score Anytime

Having fired in six goals across his last four starts for Atletico Madrid, Alexander Sorloth looks the standout option in the anytime goalscorer market at 10/11 on bet365.

Tip 2: Dominic Solanke 1+ Shot on Target

Dominic Solanke is expected to lead the line for Tottenham on Tuesday night, making him an appealing value pick to register at least one shot on target at 10/11 with bet365.

Tip 3: Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals

Backing both teams to score alongside over 2.5 goals looks too big to ignore at 11/10 on bet365.

Goals have been a regular feature of Atletico Madrid’s Champions League fixtures this season, with BTTS and over 2.5 strikes landing in eight of their 10 outings to date, including each of their five home games.

Further encouragement comes from the fact that this selection would have been a winning one in eight of Tottenham’s last nine Premier League matches.

Atalanta vs Bayern Munich (8pm)

Atalanta v Bayern Munich

Tipster: Vladislav

There is no rest for Atalanta and Bayern Munich, as it is already time for the next stage of the Champions League and the first match at the New Balance Arena in Bergamo.

Tip 1: BTTS

Neither of Bayern’s UCL away games this season was flawless, and they conceded against all four opponents, including the smallest team in the competition – Pafos.

Think both sides will find the net? Our BTTS Masterclass explains how to spot the fixtures where goals are a given.

Tip 2: Bayern Munich to win

Bookmakers are unanimous that Atalanta cannot expect anything good against the German champions, as the odds clearly reflect.

At the moment, Atalanta are available at 7/2, the draw is priced at 33/10, and Bayern Munich are available at 13/20.

Tip 3: 2-1 for Bayern Munich

Atalanta are a serious challenger with impressive attacking abilities, but their defence is far from ideal. This makes us believe we will see goals from both sides, but a possible German triumph. In fact, we would even venture to predict a 1-2 win for Bayern Munich.
