SlipsTips shares a Bet Builder ahead of Liverpool's clash with Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Saturday.
Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest, Saturday (12:30)
Liverpool and Nottingham Forest will both be looking to get their first Premier League win of the season on the board when they meet at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
Liverpool looked destined to suffer defeat at St James' Park last weekend, only for a late penalty to rescue a point in a 2-2 draw.
Forest, meanwhile, began their league campaign with a disappointing 1-0 home defeat to Leeds.
Alexander Isak 1+ Shot on Target
For the first of two player-based selections, I'm backing Alexander Isak to register at least one shot on target.
The Liverpool forward drew a blank on his return to Newcastle last weekend, but he still managed to test the goalkeeper twice. That followed a Premier League campaign last season in which Isak averaged 0.77 shots on target per game, despite his season being disrupted by injury and his minutes being limited at times.
His numbers at the World Cup earlier this summer provide further encouragement, with the Liverpool forward registering six shots on target across his four appearances for Sweden, notably working the opposition goalkeeper when coming up against both the Netherlands and France.
With Nottingham Forest manager Oliver Glasner likely to take a pragmatic approach, Liverpool should have plenty of the ball and be able to dictate the tempo at Anfield. That should create opportunities for Isak, and I'm expecting the forward to force the Forest goalkeeper into action at least once.
Morgan Gibbs-White To Be Fouled 1+ Time
I'm going to pair that up with Morgan Gibbs-White to be fouled at least once.
The Nottingham Forest ace was a key component of the Bet Builder that helped me deliver a winner last weekend, with Gibbs-White being fouled twice against Leeds. That means he has now been brought down at least once in 13 of his last 14 Premier League appearances, highlighting just how consistently he is drawing fouls.
Given the attacking threat that Gibbs-White offers, Liverpool are likely to keep a close eye on him at Anfield. He could find himself up against Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch, with both players averaging north of one foul per game in the Premier League last season. Dominik Szoboszlai is also likely to feature in midfield, and he was penalised twice against Newcastle last weekend.
The two selections combine to form a 4/5 Bet Builder that looks good value.
