YESTERDAY was the toughest of days for all of us here at MrFixitsTips as we sadly announced the passing of our much-loved leader Paul Jain, aka Mr Fixit.
The outpouring of love for Paul in the comments section was overwhelming and will provide huge comfort to Paul's family in the difficult days, weeks and months ahead. Thanks to everyone who left their condolonces and if you've not done so yet please feel free to leave a little comment over on the other thread.
With the guidance of Paul's family we have been in contact with two charitable causes close to Paul's heart and we hope to announce a way in which you can donate in his memory very soon. Watch this space.
Paul is completely irreplaceable, all we can do is try our best to ensure that this site continues to provide a platform for people to come together, to post their tips, to share their stories and to continue the community that Paul worked so hard to create.
We have a commited team of contributors and tipsters and over the coming days we will turn to you, the heartbeat of the site, to help us shape the future of MrFixitsTips.
For now we're still coming to terms with our loss. A huge thanks to our tipsters who have written posts for this weekend under the most difficult of circumstances and to our members who have taken the lead by providing their tips in the comments section.
We're sure Paul would love nothing more than to know that we're still trying to beat the bookies in his absence.

Mr Fixit launched this website as a small project in 2010 to give him a platform to provide daily football tips to punters on the internet. The site has grown massively since, and while he is no longer with us, our aim is to continue his good work and provide our readers with solid tips every day to consider placing their bets on.
Just want to give a pat on the back to all involved with keeping the site running during such a difficult time.

There are some unsung hero’s behind the scenes, not least Admin (Better known as Selectabet) who partnered up with Mr Fixit a decade ago to provide us with the best online betting community there is.
It’s been a particularly tough and upsetting time for him given how close he and Mr F were, yet despite that, he’s still conducted himself professionally, providing daily updates on Paul’s condition and ensuring the site continues to operate
He won’t thank me for this, but I’m sure you’ll all join me in your appreciation for the work he has done behind the scenes over the last 10 years and the work he’ll continue to do to ensure Mr F’s legacy lives on. ❤️
Absolutely spot on mick and Greg. No one person could run a site this size by themselves and the dedication and effort that has went into it from the whole team is outstanding and I’d like to place on record my thanks to each and every member of that team for all the hard work over the years past and hopefully the years to come. It would be a fitting tribute to Paul’s memory if this site carried on and continued to grow even in his absence.

I still can’t take it in about Mr f it’s just so so sad and hard to believe. Like many on here he felt like a personal friend and he had time for everyone, every day I come on here for the crack and fantastic tips from lots of followers it was just one big community that Mr f created and I hope the site goes on for many years in respect of him…he will never be forgotten and will always be talked about fondly.i so hope his wife and kids get the strength to get through this awful time with the help of comments left on here showing how much he was admired and loved.may god give him the softest bed in heaven.

Its absolutely devastating news to hear of Paul’s (Mr Fixit) passing, just so sad. Although I, like many others, didn’t know him personally he had that unique trait where you felt like you did. He will be remembered for building the finest betting community on the internet, which personally speaking has seen me through some difficult times in my life. Always enjoyed reading his witty post titles and write ups.
Very sobering and just makes it all the more clearer that we should cherish our loved ones whilst we can as life can be cruel at times. Sending my condolences to all of Paul’s family. Rest in peace Mr F.
So sad to hear this news tonight. May Paul rest in peace and my thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time. I was just looking back and fondly remembering an email conversation we had in 2014 about his travelling over here to Georgia for the Masters at Augusta. Been going through all the comments and it brought tears to my eyes for it shows how much he was loved and respected by many including myself who never knew him personally. I really can’t believe that Mr fixit has passed away. I remember I came across this site round about the world cup 2014 and Mr fixit went on a run of 19 super single wins in a row. Some record! Couldn’t believe it when a pal sent me the news yesterday and like everyone else my thoughts are with Mr F’s family. I’ve yet to come across another site with this sense of community and that’s a credit to him and all the other guys who run it. There are other sites to go get tips yes but it’s a one-way communication with no personal touch and that’s what makes this site – its coming on here and interacting with folk you can relate to, congratulating each other and what not. To see so many tributes only epitomises the huge footprint that Paul has left in this wonderful community he built and this can be clearly seen through the many touching tributes paid to a gentlemen that most never met. My personal reflections take me back over 20 years when Paul was writing his Mr Fixit column on a Saturday in the Daily Record, which was the first thing i looked at. Then i discovered this fantastic forum which he and others gave us a voice as well as researched football knowledge to gain from.

Still in shock and deeply saddened, had a lump in my throat whilst reading through all the comments on the tribute page. As others have said, one of the best tributes to Paul is to build on the strength of this great site that Mr Fix and the Admin team built up and ensure it remains strong with tips and info to beat the bookie.

A big thank you to Mick and Gregg and everyone behind the scenes who have built up a great community from far and wide. A lot of hard work has been put into this site over the past 10 years. I thank you all for that in what is a difficult time for the team. A single football bet from now on will always be know as a “Super Single” in memory of the greatest who was known to us all as “Mr Fixit”. Paul was more than just a tipster to me. He was a very good counsel to anyone who might end up on the slippery slope of gambling with his knowledge and wisdom. And he was absoulatley right about gambling too much and chasing losing bets. Tough card today he would say and keep the stakes low. Always remember him saying as it was coming up to Christmas advising not to lose to much and if you get a win it will buy the Christmas presents. A wise man he was and he taught us all a lot about gambling. I only wish I could have met the man for a beer and a chat about the game we love. I have a tear in my eye as I write this. I will miss him but never forget him. This site and community must keep going in memory of Mr Fixit. So in memory and true style of the great man, im with Sean and will tip a super single for today.
