Today's FA Cup betting tips and predictions

Burton Albion vs West Ham United (12:15pm)

Burton v West Ham

Tipster: Greg MacLean

West Ham will look to continue their recent upturn in form as they travel to the Pirelli Stadium to take on League One strugglers Burton Albion in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday lunchtime.

Tip 1: Crysencio Summerville To Score or Assist

Crysencio Summerville’s performances in the last few matches are one of the major factors in West Ham’s recent upturn in form.

The ex-Leeds United attacker has scored five goals and provided an assist across his last six appearances for the Hammers – including being involved in both goals against QPR in the previous round – and the 1/1 on offer at bet365 for him to Score or Assist on Saturdays stands.

Tip 2: West Ham To Win and Over 2.5 Goals

A month ago, many may have bookmarked this game as one where there could be a potential shock on the cards, but given their recent form, West Ham should advance through to the next round.

The Hammers have won four and lost just one of their previous six matches in all competitions (W4-D1-L1), scoring 12 goals in the process.

Nuno’s visitors have only kept two clean sheets all season though, so combining a West Ham Win & Over 2.5 Goals appeals to me, which pays 10/11 at Coral/Ladbrokes.

Burnley vs Mansfield Town (15:00pm)

Burnley v Mansfield

Tipster: Greg MacLean

Premier League strugglers Burnley welcome League One side Mansfield Town to Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon for their fourth round FA Cup tie.

Tip 1: Burnley To Win and Over 2.5 Goals

Burnley come into this tie off the back of a morale-boosting win away to Crystal Palace on Wednesday night, and Scott Parker will want his side to maintain their momentum.

The Clarets thrashed Millwall 5-1 in the previous round, so combining a home win & Over 2.5 Goals appeals, and that pays 23/20 at Coral/Ladbrokes.

Tip 2: Jaidon Anthony To Score Or Assist

Jaidon Anthony became Burnley’s top scorer this season in midweek, with his equaliser at Selhurst Park in midweek taking his tally to seven in all competitions.

The ex-Bournemouth attacker also scored in the previous round against Millwall, and the 5/6 on offer at bet365 for him to Score or Assist appeals.

Man City vs Salford (15:00pm)

Man City v Salford

Tipster: SlipsTips

Manchester City will resume their FA Cup campaign when they welcome neighbours Salford City to the Etihad on Saturday afternoon.

Tip 1: Both Teams To Score ‘No' and Man City No Cards

With value understandably scarce in what’s a massive mismatch on paper, I’m going to dip into the Bet Builder market to try and unearth a backable selection.

Bundling BTTS No with Manchester City not to pick up any cards will engineer an even-money (1/1) shot on bet365.

Tip 2: Rayan Cherki To Score

Having hit four goals across his last nine appearances for Manchester City, Rayan Cherki looks well worthy of support to make the net bulge on Saturday at 15/8 with William Hill.

Tip 3: Luke Garbutt To Be Carded

Luke Garbutt has picked up seven yellow cards across his 29 appearances in English League Two this season, making him a prime candidate to tackle his way into trouble at the Etihad at 9/4 with bet365.

Southampton vs Leicester City (15:00pm)

Southampton v Leicester

Tipster: Neil Potter

Southampton host Leicester City at St Mary’s on Saturday in the FA Cup fourth round. Both sides arrive with contrasting momentum and the gap in recent performance frames this tie.

Tip 1: Southampton To Win And To Score Over 1.5 Goals

Although a cup match we can use their league performances as a guide. Across 32 league games Southampton have generated 54.9 xGF and rank fourth on xPTS with 52.1. They have taken 457 shots with 164 on target, producing 0.12 xG per shot. Their attacking process is repeatable and sustained. Even though they have scored 48 from that total, the volume and quality of chances remain high.

Leicester’s underlying profile is weaker. They sit on 33.8 xPTS with an xGD of -12.9 and have conceded 47.3 xGA. Over their last five league matches, they have allowed 11 goals and kept zero clean sheets. Their away clean sheet rate across the season is 6% and both teams to score has landed in 81% of their away fixtures.

In the recent head-to-head Leicester scored three early goals but still conceded four as they ended up losing the match 4-3. That match reflects their broader trend. They create chances, but defensive errors and structural weakness undermine them.

Southampton arrive unbeaten in five and have won their last three. Leicester are winless in six. The gap in xPTS, defensive numbers and current form supports the home win.

Norwich City vs West Brom (15:00pm)

Norwich v West Brom

Tipster: Neil Potter

Norwich City host West Bromwich Albion at Carrow Road on Saturday in the FA Cup fourth round. The tie brings together two Championship sides moving in different directions over recent weeks.

Tip 1: Norwich To Win and Score Over 1.5 Goals

Norwich to win is supported by recent performance and attacking efficiency. Whilst this is an FA Cup match, we can use the league performances and form to help guide our betting angle.

Across 32 league games, Norwich have taken 378 shots, with 124 on target, scoring 42 goals from 41.04 xG. Their conversion rate stands at 11.11%, closely aligned with chance quality at 0.11 xG per shot. They generate 63.96% of their shots inside the box, and 80.95% of their goals come from that area, pointing to sustainable chance creation.

West Brom’s numbers tell a different story. They have scored 32 from 37.08 xG and convert at 7.55% from 424 shots. Despite volume, efficiency is low. Their away failed to score rate is 41% and they have not scored in their last four league matches.

Defensive reliability also favours the hosts. West Brom have 10 errors leading to goals compared to Norwich’s four. When recent form, finishing efficiency and head-to-head results are aligned, the home price carries value.

Port Vale vs Bristol City (15:00pm)

Port Vale v Bristol City

Tipster: Neil Potter

Port Vale host Bristol City in the FA Cup at Vale Park on Saturday, with a place in the next round at stake. The tie brings together a League One side battling near the foot of their division and a Championship outfit pushing in the upper half of the second tier.

Tip 1: Bristol City To Win and Score Over 1.5 Goals

Bristol City to win appeals on the basis of structural strength, league context and the performance profile of the opposition. Port Vale’s League One campaign provides a clear statistical foundation for opposing them against higher-tier opposition.

Across 28 league games, Port Vale have scored 22 goals from 34.16 xG. That 12.16 goal underperformance highlights issues in finishing and shot quality conversion. They have taken 334 shots, 88 of which have been on target, yet their conversion rate sits at 6.59%. In simple terms, they require high volume to produce limited output. Against a Championship defence, that inefficiency becomes more costly.

Defensively, the picture is also fragile. Port Vale have conceded 40 goals from 30.8 xGA, meaning they are allowing chances worth fewer goals than they have actually shipped. Their home record of W2-D4-L8 includes 19 goals conceded in 14 matches, and a clean sheet rate of 21%. They fail to score in 57% of home games.

The underlying table based on xPTS places Port Vale 14th rather than 24th, but even that adjusted position reflects mid-table League One standards, not Championship level. The quality gap remains material.

Bristol City operate week to week against stronger opponents, sharper attacks and higher pressing structures. When matched with a side converting below seven% of shots and conceding at a rate above 1.3 per home game, the away win aligns with both numbers and context.

Aston Villa vs Newcastle United (17:15pm)

Aston Villa v Newcastle

Tipster: Kevin Mac

Aston Villa and Newcastle are both struggling for consistency in the Premier League but they can now focus on the road to Wembley as they collide in the FA Cup fourth round.

Click here to read our full expert preview for this match

Tip 1: Aston Villa To Win

Newcastle usually struggle without the inspirational Guimaraes, so I fancy Villa for this one with home advantage.

Tip 2: Half-Time Draw

It should be a close on,e though, and the half-time draw also looks decent at 11/8 with Bet365.

Tip 3: Dan Burn Over 0.5 Shots On Target

Big Dan Burn is always a big threat from set-pieces, and the Newcastle centre-back is 19/4 with Coral to have an effort on target.

Liverpool vs Brighton (19:45pm)

Liverpool v Brighton

Tipster: Greg MacLean

Liverpool welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Anfield on Saturday night for their fourth round FA Cup tie in what is an all-Premier League clash.

Tip 1: Liverpool To Win and Under 4.5 Goals

Liverpool’s matches have been a nightmare to predict this season, given they have been consistently inconsistent, but you would expect them to get the job done here.

The Seagulls knocked out Manchester United at Old Trafford in the previous round, but they have won just one of their previous 13 Premier League matches, scoring just four goals across their last six encounters.

Liverpool won the league meeting between these two clubs at Anfield 2-0 as recently as December, and the 23/20 on offer at Coral/Ladbrokes for a Liverpool Win & Under 4.5 Goals appeals.

Tip 2: Hugo Etikite To Score

Hugo Ekitike was the hero when these two sides met at Anfield in the league meeting in December, as he scored both goals in a two-nil victory.

The ex-Eintracht Frankfurt frontman also scored in the previous round against Barnsley, and I like the look of the 10/11 on offer at PaddyPower for the Frenchman to find the target once again on Saturday.
