RANGERS can get back to their bread and butter on Sunday with a visit from Motherwell, who currently sit above them in the Premiership.
Michael Beale's men were in Europa League action on Thursday night and they grabbed an important and morale-boosting win over La Liga stalwarts Real Betis.
Beale remains under pressure, but a win like that won't do him any harm after a turbulent time where they lost to Celtic and were hammered in the Champions League by PSV Eindhoven.
Motherwell have shrugged off the loss of 29-goal striker Kevin van Veen in the summer and have adapted very well.
However, they were frustrated after a defeat at home to St Mirren last week.
Stuart Kettlwell seems to have them heading in the right direction though and they will be hoping to catch Rangers off guard following their midweek exertions.
How the bookies view it
Rangers will be banker material on many folks' accas at 1/4 with bet365.
Motherwell are 12/1 outsiders with McBookie.com and the draw is 5/1 with 888Sport.
Recent head to heads
Rangers won all three games last season and have only lost once in their last 24 games against Well since the Lanarkshire side spanked them home and away 6-1 on aggregate in the 2015 Premiership play-off final.
Players to watch
Rabbi Matondo was completely out of the picture last season at Rangers, but the Welsh international has played himself back and netted last week at St Johnstone. He is 6/4 to score anytime with bet365.
Callum Slattery has done his best to fill the boots of van Veen this term and has scored three goals already including a recent winner at Hearts. He is a big price at 17/2 to score anytime on Sunday.
Anything else catch the eye?
It's probably the best possible time for Motherwell to play Rangers, but it's still a huge ask and there is likely to be a big gulf in class here with a sense that Rangers are starting to gel.
If they keep their momentum up, they could give Motherwell a torrid afternoon.
It's hard to see Well scoring at Ibrox and Rangers really should win this to nil and 10/11 with McBookie.com.
On the same line of thought, if Rangers do manage to click, they are due to give someone a battering soon.
And they could be good enough to cover a two-goal handicap with bet365 at 13/8 on Sunday.
