Motherwell are clinging on to their UEFA Conference League dream by their fingertips and need to come up with an epic win in Freiburg to reach the group phase.
The Steelemen shocked the German giants in last week's first leg by taking an early lead but Freiburg eventually made their class tell as they claimed a 3-1 win.
That match was tied at 1-1 when Motherwell's Martin Moormann saw red for conceding the penalty that put Freiburg ahead so it was a cruel way for the SPFL Premiership to lose.
They can take heart from the way they competed with last season's Europa League finalists but the tie now looks beyond Alfred Johansson's side.
Last week's first leg was Freiburg's first competitive game of the season and they followed it up by thrashing Dusseldorf 5-1 in the German Cup at the weekend.
The Bundesliga side also won all seven of their home games in Europe last term so it would be a massive surprise if they let a two-goal lead slip at Europa-Park Stadium.

Last week's first leg was the first time these sides had faced off in Europe. The 3-1 scoreline made it three defeats in a row for Motherwell against German opposition, having lost both legs in their 1994 UEFA Cup tie with Borussia Dortmund.
Players to watch: Igor to please
Igor Matanovic only got 21 minutes in the weekend cup tie but still managed to score twice. He was in from the start against Motherwell in the first leg and should get the nod again. The Croatian is 4/5 for anytime scorer and 4/1 for two or more goals.
Ibrahim Said has started the season well for the Steelmen and scored twice in their win over HJK Helsinki in the last round. The forward is 11/2 for a goal in Germany and that looks a little overpriced.

Regan Charles-Cook went off with an injury in the first leg and is a doubt for Motherwell. Johnny Koutroumbis, Tom Sparrow, Paul McGinn, Oscar Priestman, Dylan Williams, Eythor Bjorgolfsson, Apostolos Stamatelopoulos, Callum Hendry and Jordan McGhee all missed the first leg with injury.
Florent Muslija remains out for Freiburg while Max Rosenfelder is a doubt after picking up an injury in the first leg.

This looks like a lost cause for Motherwell and their injury-hit side could find Freiburg too hot to handle in Germany.
A lot will depend on how much the Bundesliga side keep their foot on the gas but the fact they scored five in the German Cup should be a worry for the Steelmen.
A Freiburg victory to nil looks decent value at evens with Bet365 while the same firm price the home side at 11/8 to win each half.
If the Germans score a couple of first-half goals it will kill the game as a contest so there could be some value in going for under nine corners at 11/10 with Bet365.
