City rivals AC Milan and Inter Milan take a pause from their Serie A title battle as they square off in the first leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final tie. The Milan derby is often a closely fought contest and both teams appear evenly matched heading into Tuesday’s clash.
AC Milan needed extra-time before seeing off Genoa in the previous round of the Coppa Italia. They were made to come from behind with Olivier Giroud getting the equaliser in regulation time before goals from Rafael Leao and Alexis Saelemaekers sealed the win.
The Rossoneri have blown hot and cold since that victory, claiming three wins from their last six matches. They head into Tuesday’s clash off the back of two straight draws, including a 1-1 scoreline with Udinese in a Serie A fixture last Friday.
AC Milan have not been particularly convincing at the San Siro lately with two wins and as many draws from their last five home matches. Stefano Pioli’s men have also struggled to keep things tight at the back lately, conceding three goals in their last two matches.

Like their rivals, Inter Milan have also found things difficult since that victory and are winless in their last four matches. They were held to a 0-0 draw by Genoa in Serie A last Friday in a match that saw them waste several good chances.
Inter Milan also play at the San Siro but are technically the away side in Tuesday’s clash. They are unbeaten in their last four matches on their travels, drawing the last three in that run.

The bookies appear to be split on this one with a win for AC Milan priced at 41/20 by MansionBet while an Inter Milan victory is valued at 7/5 by Unibet. BetVictor is offering odds of 5/2 for a draw.

There have been two wins each and a draw from the last five matches between AC Milan and Inter Milan. The Rossoneri are unbeaten in the two Serie A meetings with Inter this season, playing out a 1-1 draw in the first fixture in November before claiming a 2-1 victory in February.

Rafael Leao often impresses whenever he plays at the San Siro and has scored six goals in his last seven home matches. Playing alongside Olivier Giroud, who has also been among the goals lately, the Rossoneri will be confident of getting on the score sheet at 32/100 with Vbet.
