We will use a unit system for our stakes, allowing readers to set their own unit value that suits their own budget. For the sake of simplicity, for us, 1 unit = £1.
We will continue to transparently track our progress as far as we go on the path to 1,000, but will refresh our main tracking stake back to the starting point every time we surpass 100 units – a 10x ROI. As per our own rules we reset the betting balance back to 100 units on Bet17.
For the sake of consistency, all tips are placed using odds from bet365. It worth pointing out that with Bet365 we can paid out if our selection goes into a lead by two or more goals.
We will take the refund from Sunday as Start won the game 2-0. We were a little unfortunate given there was total xG of 3.37 with 36 shots and 10 on target, but if we can’t win then let’s not lose. Bet 5 goes again.
Bet 5 – Southend Utd vs Tamworth – Tuesday 15th September at 7:45pm
Southend United welcome Tamworth to Roots Hall on Tuesday night, with both clubs producing regular goals across the opening seven rounds. Over 1.5 goals offers little value at the available price, so the over 2 goal line provides a stronger balance between price and protection.
The selection wins if the match produces at least three goals. A game finishing with exactly two goals returns the stake.
Southend have scored in every league match, finding the net 14 times at an average of two goals per game. Five of their seven fixtures have produced at least three goals, including a 3-2 home win over Yeovil Town and Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Carlisle United.
Their attacking numbers provide a solid base. Southend average 1.76 xG, 12.6 shots and 5.9 shots on target. At Roots Hall, those figures rise to 15 shots and 7.3 shots on target per game.
Tamworth bring the strongest goals record in the division. All seven of their matches have cleared the two-goal line, with 32 goals scored across those fixtures. They have scored 13 and conceded 19, producing an average of 4.57 goals.
The away split follows the same pattern. Tamworth’s four trips have contained 20 goals. They have scored seven but conceded 13, allowing 14.3 shots and 8.8 shots on target per match.
Their latest defeat brought another open performance. Harrogate Town recorded 20 shots and 12 on target during a 3-1 win, although Tamworth still scored for the seventh consecutive game.
Across their 14 combined matches, 12 have produced at least three goals and one finished with exactly two. The over 2 goal line offers a refund on the lower-scoring outcome while retaining full profit if the established scoring pattern continues.
