The DP World Tour continues its Opening Swing series with this week's Alfred Dunhill Championship at Leopard Creek Country Club, Malelane, South Africa.

The 156 field with the top 65 including ties making the cut will all be competing for a share of the €1.5M prize purse with the winner collecting the Alfred Dunhill Championship title & a winning cheque for €250,000.

After landing yet another hat-trick at the weekend in the shape of Joaquin Niemann winning the Australian Open tipped by  Tne Caddy at 12/1, come & join us on my Telegram Channel as we consistently continue to bash the bookie.

That’s now three years since it all started and TheCaddy has recorded mega profits each & every year.

Leopard Creek Countty Club will be playing 7,249 yards this week, it’s a Par 72 Parkland layout that will require a hot putter for these slick, fast dance floors.

Ockie Strydrum returns to Leopard Creek to defend the maiden title he won around here last year. His winning scorecard read 270,-18.

The weather forecasts showers on Thursday, Saturday & Sunday with Friday being sunny & warm. Breezes will peak at around 10mph.

This event will be screened on Sky Sports Golf & Sky Sports Main Event with live coverage starting at 10 am on Thursday.

So let’s move on with this week's golf tips as The Caddy seeks yet another quadruple-winning weekend.

Zander Lombard 25/1 EW Skybet 1-8 places

For my first pick in South Africa this week I’m going to single out Zander Lombard 25/1 EW Skybet 1-8 places.

The 28-year-old South African hasn’t missed a cut for over a dozen events now & his golf has been fairly consistent throughout the year. He’s faired well so far in the DP World Tours new look swing series finishing 4th at the Joburg Open & 12th last weekend at the South African Open. The Opening Swing series has been kind to Zander Lombard with two Top 20 finishes & it could be about to get even better.

His best finish this year was runner-up at the Open de Espana but he also came close at the Jonsson Workwear Open where he was joint runner-up & the same applies at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship where he was also T2nd.

Those fields without being disrespectful were much stronger than the lineup & Zander Lombard can do what Ockie Strydrum did here last year & become a DPWT Champion.

Antoine Rozner 33/1 EW Skybet 1-8 places

For my next selection, I’m going to suggest Antoine Rozner 33/1 EW Skybet 1-8 places. The 30-year-old Spaniard goes for his title defence at the Mauritius Open next week & could head to Mauritius with a victory in South Africa.

Rozner had an amazing end to 2022 scooping the Mauritius Open & started 2023 finishing T6th at the Singapore Classic, T5th at the Thailand Classic & T3rd at the SDC Championship.

It seems to be the time of the year when Antoine Rozner fires on all cylinders & having recharged the batteries, he’ll be raring to get back out there. He finished just outside the Top 10 in 11th place last time out at the DP World Tour Championship & that was with a host of big names in the field.

He also finished 10th at the Alfred Dunhill in Scotland just a few weeks back & he could be one to keep an eye on for both this weekend & next.

Matti Schmid 28/1 EW Skybet 1-8 places

For my final betting tip at the DP World Tours penultimate event of the year, I will point you all in the direction of Matti Schmid 28/1 EW Skybet 1-8 places.

I’m going to keep the faith with Matti Schmid just as I did with Min Woo Lee the other week & it paid off on that occasion. That’s three Top 20 finishes in the last five attempts for the German after finishing T17th at the South African Open just a few days ago. 3rd at the recent Bermuda Championship & runner up at the Andalucia Masters just a couple of months back show this is a man in form.

Consistency in golf usually always pays off sooner rather than later & I don’t want to miss out when Matti Schmid bags his first W with many more to follow, he just turned 26 the other week so time is definitely on his side.

Good luck as always everyone, let’s hope we can bag the quadruple together this weekend just in time for Santa to arrive .
