The Caddys Golf Tips

The DP World Tour visits Denmark this week for the Made in Himmerland at Himmerland, Farso, Denmark.

The 156 field with the tip 65 including ties making the cut will all be competing for a share of the $3.25M prize purse with the winner collecting the Made in Himmerland Title & a winner cheque for $552,500.

Before I continue I’m going to tell you all just how good my new Telegram channel is doing since it launched only a matter of weeks ago.

With Rickie Fowler winning the Rocket Mortgage Classic at the weekend tipped at 14/1, that’s now five outright winners on the channel since it all began at the end of April. My Telegram members are consistently bashing the bookie so why not join us today by clicking the link below so you never miss out? It’s not just the outright winners that are piling up , we also have a special bet that seems to win week after week so join us today & have a look for yourself while enjoying your first 30 days free. The channel pays for itself.

Himmerland will be playing 6,646 yards long or short this week, it’s a par 70 Parkland layout that will require sublime ball striking from Tee to Green for all they birdie or better opportunities, except a low-scoring affair at Himmerland.

Oliver Wilson returns to defend the title he won last year when seeing off his nearest challenger Ewen Ferguson with one shot to spare. His winning scorecard read 263, -21.

The weather forecasts showers on Thursday & Sunday with Friday & Saturday being sunny & warm. Breezes could be the problem peaking at around 20mph on Thursday.

This event will be screened on Sky Sports Golf with live coverage starting from midday on Thursday.

Ewen Ferguson 35/1 EW Bet365 1-8 places

For my first & main selection in Denmark, I’m going to strongly advise Ewen Ferguson 35/1 EW Bet365 1-8 places. The young 26yrs old Scotsman ticks all The Caddy’s boxes this week in Denmark. It’s been a mixed bag for Fergie this year with some fine performances but also a few missed cuts. T4th at The Belfry last weekend cements my choice but T3rd at the SDC Championship, T4th Jonsson Workwear Open & T8th at the KLM Open, all this year are also worth mentioning. Runner-up at this event last year should set the Glaswegian up nicely as he already knows what’s needed to go one better this year. Twice a winner on the DPWT in 2023 when scooping both the Qatar Masters & the ISPS Handa Invitational,

I’m confident Ewen Ferguson will scoop another W before the year is out possibly this weekend in Denmark. He’s hitting the ball well at the moment, especially with the Driver but his Greens in Regulation figures are also right up there with the best on the DPWT. I’m hoping that Ewen Ferguson can return to Scotland in preparation for the Scottish Open & the Open Championship with another victory to his name. Not only so he can impress us but also Luke Donald as the Ryder Cup looms ever closer.

Niklas Norgaard Muller 35/1 EW Bet365 1-8 places

For my next best selection I’m going to recommend some homegrown talent, Niklas Norgaard Muller is available at 35/1 EW with Bet365 1-8 places. The 31yrs old from Copenhagen arrives home on the back of a fine Top 10 performance at the British Masters where he finished 7th last weekend.

The Dane could bag his maiden DP World Tour title in his homeland this coming Sunday & has two Top 20 finishes at the last three attempts with the other being T18th at the Scandanavian Mixed. He’s rising up the world rankings at the moment at some pace & a victory would shoot him up even further. Niklas has been hovering about at the top end of leaderboards recently & a return home could be just what he needs to break his duck on the DPWT. He hits the ball further than most in this field & although this isn’t the most important stat around Himmerland where he’s ranked 4th on the Tour this season ,it will definitely help on a few hole’s especially the Par 5’s.

He also has good Greens in Regulation figures to boast, currently ranked 27th on the DPWT. We could see a new champion crowned on the DPWT this Sunday when Niklas Norgaard Muller delights the home crowd with a maiden breakthrough-winning performance.

Jordan Smith 20/1 EW Ladbrokes 1-7 places

For my final outright tip this week I’m going to suggest Jordan Smith 20/1 EW Ladbrokes 1-7 places. The 30-year-old Englishman has been too quiet for my liking and I’ve got a feeling he could be ready to explode back on the scene anytime soon with another visit to the winner’s enclosure. The last time Smith tasted success was last year at the Portugal Masters and six Top 20 finishes already in 2023 is ample evidence to suggest Jordan could be waiting patiently.

He’s ranked 1st on the DPWT this season for Greens in Regulation & can back that up with 7th for Driving Accuracy. Both these stats are the key ingredients needed to win this week’s Made in Himmerland. When Jordan Smith gets going he’s a birdie machine & with plenty birdie or better opportunities available in Denmark this week, you can count on Jordan Smith to rack up more than a few of them.

Jordan Smith could easily turn all those birdies into a W when he bags a hat-trick of DPWT crowns this coming Sunday afternoon at Himmerland.
