Friday’s football tips: BTTS looks good at evens as improving Cagliari take on title-chasing AC Milan

The Serie A title race is wide open this season and AC Milan have the chance to go top when they take on Cagliari in Sardinia tonight.

Just four points separate first from fifth and Milan find themselves sitting a point behind city rivals Inter at the summit after 16 games.

The Rossoneri haven't lost in the league since the opening game of the season so it would be a surprise if they slipped up away to a Cagliari side sitting in 14th place.

Cagliari vs AC Milan top betting tips

Cagliari's form has picked up a bit, with just one defeat in their last four games, and they claimed a 2-1 win at Torino in their last outing.

They've scored in their last seven matches so it could pay to back BTTS tonight, especially with that bet landing in the last five meetings. The odds are decent at evens with Betfred and adding on over 2.5 goals boosts the odds to 8/5 at Coral.

Christian Pulisic has been in excellent form for AC Milan this season and a goal against Verona last time out took his tally for the season into double figures.

The former Chelsea forward is 6/4 at SkyBet for anytime scorer and that looks worth a punt based on his stats this season.

Rayo Vallecano vs Getafe

There's one game in La Liga tonight and it's a mid-table battle as Getafe head to the capital to take on Rayo Vallecano.

Juggling European and domestic commitments has proved tricky for Rayo and they find themselves sitting just three points above the drop zone.

But things are so congested in the Spanish top fiight that a home win tonight would move them five places up the table to 10th, leapfrogging Getafe in the process.

Both teams were thrashed 4-0 in their last La Liga match so they will be desperate to bounce back with a victory tonight.

Getafe's defeat at Real Betis was their fourth in a row so Rayo look decent value for a win tonight at 23/20 with 888Sport as they have home advantage.

BTTS has failed to land in any of the last four meetings and betting against it tonight pays just 11/20 at William Hill. Given both defences conceded four times in their last game it might actually pay to back both teams to score at hefty odds of 31/20 with Paddy Power.

Toulouse vs Lens

Lens are the surprise pacesetters in France heading into the new year and have the chance to move four points clear of champions PSG with a win in Toulouse tonight.

The Ligue 1 title race is usually a Parisian procession but it's a different story this season with Lens leading the way and Marseille and Lille also in the mix.

Lens have won seven games in a row in all competitions but they're as big as 8/5 with Betfred for another victory in Toulouse tonight.

That's because their hosts have lost just twice at home all season and have tasted defeat once in their last eight matches in all competitions.

The half-time draw looks a good option at 6/5 with William Hill and we should see goals after Toulouse lost 6-3 to PSG and drew 2-2 with Marseille.

BTTS only pays 3/4 for this one but adding on over 2.5 goals boosts the odds to 5/4 with Ladbrokes.
