After delivering a pair of winners on Monday night, SlipsTips shares a selection ahead of Hearts’ clash with Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership on Thursday.
Hibernian vs Hearts (Thursday, 19:45)
Hibernian and Hearts will renew hostilities when they contest the first Edinburgh derby of the season at Easter Road on Thursday night.
Both sides head into this capital showdown in good form and looking to make it three league wins on the spin.
Hibs battled their way to a 2-1 victory at Dundee on Sunday, while Hearts recorded a win by the same scoreline against St Johnstone 24 hours earlier.
There's little to separate the pair in the outright betting, with Hibernian marginal favourites at 6/4 with bet365 and Hearts available at 17/10.
Rather than picking a side in what could be a closely fought derby, I'm switching my attention to the player markets, where Calvin Miller looks too big to ignore to attempt two or more shots at a value 4/5 with Ladbrokes.
The Hearts winger has made an impressive start to life at Tynecastle, most notably scoring brilliant acrobatic goal in last Wednesday's 2-2 draw with Rapid Vienna.
That strike took Miller's tally to a quietly impressive four goals in 10 appearances since joining Hearts earlier this summer.
Moreover, Miller has never been shy when it comes to pulling the trigger, averaging 2.36 shots per game in the Scottish Premiership with Falkirk last season.
There are a couple of other factors that add to the appeal.
Miller has been on penalty duty for Hearts during the early stages of the campaign and is also a contender to take aim from set pieces within shooting range.
It's also worth noting that Hibs have yet to keep a clean sheet in three Scottish Premiership matches this season, while they've been giving up an average of 15.67 shots per game across those three outings.
With that in mind, the 4/5 on offer with Ladbrokes for Miller to attempt two or more shots looks well worth taking on Thursday night.
