SlipsTips shares a player-based selection ahead of West Ham’s clash with Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

West Ham vs Aston Villa (Sunday, 14:00)

Seeking to boost their Premier League survival hopes, West Ham United will welcome in-form Aston Villa to the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Hammers have drawn each of their last two top-flight matches, while Villa will be looking to extend their winning run in the Premier League to six matches.

I’ve already penned a separate match preview on this clash, but I’ve since identified another player-based selection that holds plenty of appeal.

Lucas Paqueta is an attractive 4/5 shot on bet365 to be fouled twice or more during this London Stadium showdown.

The classy West Ham playmaker has been a foul magnet for a number of years, and this season is no exception.

In fact, Paqueta has drawn a sizable average of 2.00 fouls per game across his 13 Premier League outings this season to date.

What’s more, Paqueta has proven to be particularly reliable at earning his side set-pieces at home this season, with the Brazil international being brought down on multiple occasions in each of his last three London Stadium appearances.

It’s also worth noting that the 28-year-old was upended on four separate occasions during West Ham’s road matches at both Leeds and Arsenal in the not-too-distant past.

Now up against an Aston Villa side that have a number of fierce competitors within their ranks, Paqueta is likely to come in for plenty of close attention during this contest.

In direct opposition to Paqueta is likely to be Aston Villa duo Amadou Onana and Boubacar Kamara, both of whom are prone to overstepping the mark.

The Villa midfield pair have committed respective averages of 1.08 and 0.92 fouls per 90 when on top-flight duty this term.

So, with all things considered, the 4/5 (bet365) available on Paqueta to be fouled twice or more stands out at the London Stadium on Sunday.
