SlipsTips shares a selection ahead of Celtic’s Old Firm clash with Rangers in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.

Celtic vs Rangers (Sunday, 12:00)

Celtic have an early opportunity to respond to last week’s Old Firm derby defeat when Rangers visit Parkhead on Sunday.

Rangers reigned supreme at Ibrox in last week’s Scottish League Cup clash with an emphatic 3-0 victory.

Another Old Firm triumph would move the Light Blues to within two points of their rivals, and they will hope that cup success can propel them to victory.

As for Celtic, they suffered another bruising setback on Thursday night, falling to a 3-1 defeat at home to Ferencvaros.

I have already covered Sunday’s Old Firm showdown with a Bet Builder double, but a player-based single has also caught my eye.

Callum McGregor to be fouled at least once looks good value at 5/6 on bet365.

The Celtic captain will be demanding a response from his team, and his position at the base of the midfield battleground is likely to keep him heavily involved throughout.

That role will place him at the heart of the action and see him come in for plenty of close attention from Rangers.

McGregor may not be known for drawing fouls, but he was brought down twice in Thursday night’s Europa League defeat against Ferencvaros, having also drawn two fouls in Celtic’s most recent home league game against Aberdeen and one away at Kilmarnock last month.

His Old Firm record offers much more encouragement, with McGregor fouled in each of his final two appearances in the fixture last season and 17 times across his last 13 meetings with Rangers.

If fit enough to start, Ryan Naderi could drop from centre-forward into the number 10 role to keep close tabs on McGregor.

The Rangers attacker has committed six fouls in five league appearances this season and was also penalised once in last week’s derby.

Dan Neil, James Penrice and Nico Raskin are also likely to cross paths with McGregor, giving him no shortage of opportunities to draw a foul.

With all that in mind, the Celtic skipper looks worth backing to be fouled at least once at 5/6 with bet365.
