Brazil vs Morocco, Saturday (23:00)

MetLife Stadium will set the stage for Brazil’s opening World Cup fixture as they face Morocco on Saturday night.

Both nations are widely expected to finish in the top two positions in Group C, where they will also meet Scotland and Haiti.

I’ve already covered this clash in a separate match preview, but I’ll now turn my attention to the Bet Builder market.

Vinicius Junior 2+ shots

For the first leg of what will be a player-based double, I’m backing Vinicius Junior to register at least two shots. The Real Madrid star is the talisman of this Brazil side, and they will be looking to him for inspiration throughout out the tournament

Vinicius is a serial shot hitter, which is reflected in his qualification numbers, where he averaged 2.37 shots per 90 minutes. Digging a little deeper, the Brazil star registered at least two efforts in seven of his final nine appearances of the South American qualifying campaign. That pattern has carried into Brazil’s recent friendlies in the build-up to the World Cup, with Vinicius landing at least two attempts in six of his eight outings.

The case is strengthened further by his club numbers last season. Vinicius averaged 3.19 shots per game in La Liga last term, while his Champions League figure climbed to a hefty 4.30.

Up against a Morocco side likely to sit deep and prove difficult to break down, Vinicius should be presented with plenty of shooting opportunities in and around the penalty area on Saturday night.

Bruno Guimaraes To be fouled 2+ times

Moving on to the second selection, I’m backing Bruno Guimaraes to be fouled two or more times.

The all-action Brazilian midfielder is well renowned for regularly finding himself on the receiving end of some rough treatment. That was certainly the case during World Cup qualifying, when Guimaraes drew an average of 2.43 fouls per game. Across his last four international friendlies appearances, he has continued to attract plenty of attention, forcing an average of 2.00 fouls per game.

It was a similar story in the Premier League last season, with Guimaraes being fouled an average of 2.71 times per game, earning Newcastle multiple free-kicks in each of his final eight appearances of the campaign.

He is likely to find himself up against tough-tackling Morocco midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, who committed an average of 1.79 fouls per 90 across World Cup qualification and Morocco’s 2026 friendly fixtures.

This Bet Builder double combines for a 4/5 shot that looks good value.
