The 2026 World Cup is the biggest edition in the tournament’s history, as 48 nations headed to Mexico, Canada and the United States to battle for football’s most coveted prize.
Brazil, the most successful team in World Cup history with five titles to their name, are housed in Group C alongside Morocco, Scotland and Haiti.
With only two automatic qualification spots available, the battle for progression promises to be fiercely contested, and with that in mind, MrFixitsTips takes a look at the 2026 World Cup Group C predictions, odds, key players and fixtures.
Which teams are in Group C of the 2026 World Cup?
Brazil
Brazil arrived at this summer’s World Cup seeking to end a 24-year wait for the game’s biggest prize. By their usual standards, this is not a vintage Brazilian side, at least on the evidence of qualification. Even so, with Carlo Ancelotti now guiding them, few would dare rule them out.
There is still no shortage of talent in the squad, even if it lacks the overwhelming star power of previous editions. The headline act is Vinicius Junior, who carries the hopes of steering the Samba Boys towards what they will regard as a long-overdue return to the summit of world football.
However, all Vinicius was left to do in the opening-game against Morocco, was drag his team back into the contest through individual brilliance, as the winger cut inside, created some space with a couple of quick touches, and rifled an unstoppable right-footed shot into the top corner for the equaliser after Brazil had gone behind earlier in the first half.
The game ended 1-1, but the Samba Boys left with more questions than answers, as their disjointed midfield only had some life after Casemiro was substituted for Fabinho at half time.
Those concerns were eased considerably on matchday two, as the Selecao produced a far more convincing display to beat Haiti 3-0. The victory moved Ancelotti's side onto four points and put them in a strong position heading into a decisive final group game against Scotland, where top spot in Group G is still be up for grabs.
Morocco
After causing a major stir at the 2022 World Cup by reaching the semi-finals, Morocco are once again viewed as dark horses to go deep this time around, and if anything, they proved their credentials against Brazil.
Walid Regragui was the mastermind behind the Atlas Lions’ remarkable run in Qatar, but the Morocco boss unexpectedly resigned earlier this year and has since been replaced by former Under-20s coach Mohamed Ouahbi, with no drop in performance from the team.
Defensive organisation was Morocco’s greatest strength four years ago, but their fluidity against Brazil showed a side that have grown to see themselves as protagonists.
Morocco came out completely fearless, targeted Brazil's midfield early, bypassing the defensive line and racking up an astonishing 12 shots before the break. In the 21st minute, Brahim Diaz sliced open the Brazilian defense with a perfectly weighted through-ball to Ismael Saibari, who kept his composure, dinking the ball beautifully over Alisson Becker to give the African champions a well-deserved lead.
The game ended 1-1 as Brazil restored parity 11 minutes later, but the Atlas Lions showed that they, as much as the Samba Boys, can win the group.
Morocco then strengthened their position on matchday two with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Scotland. The win moved them onto four points from two matches and left them in an excellent position to qualify for the knockout rounds, with their final group fixture against Haiti now carrying major significance in the battle for first place, as they would look to beat Brazil's goal difference to top the group.
Scotland
Scotland graced the world stage for the first time in 28 years when they took on Haiti in their World Cup opener, after impressively topping a qualification group that included Denmark and Greece.
Steve Clarke has worked wonders to guide Scotland to three major tournaments since the turn of the century, although their underwhelming efforts at the last two European Championships have drawn criticism, particularly around the manager's pragmatic approach.
With this in mind, the Tartan Army knew they had to make a statement against Haiti, and while they could win 1-0 thanks to a 28th-minute goal from John McGinn, the three points was the most important, as it now places them top of the group ahead of tough games against Morocco and Brazil.
However, their momentum was halted on matchday two when they suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Morocco. The loss leaves Scotland on three points heading into their final group match against Brazil, knowing they may need a positive result against one of the tournament favourites to secure progression to the knockout stages.
Haiti
Haiti are making just their second World Cup appearance, their first since 1974, as the Grenadiers sealed their place at this summer’s showpiece with a 2-0 win over Nicaragua, impressively finishing above Honduras and Costa Rica to top CONCACAF Group C.
There are not too many household names in Sebastien Migne's squad, however Sunderland’s Wilson Isidor and Wolves' Jean-Ricner Bellegarde have both featured regularly in the Premier League this season.
Placed in a daunting group, Haiti were always regarded as massive outsiders, but they showed against Scotland that they are unlikely to give anyone an easy ride.
Sebastien Migne's side had more passes, more goal attempts, and a similar number of shots on target, all of which points to the fact that they were unlucky not to take anything from the 1-0 loss to Scotland.
Things became even more difficult on matchday two, as Haiti were beaten 3-0 by Brazil. Despite showing admirable effort, they struggled to contain the quality of the five-time world champions and now sit bottom of the group with one game remaining.
Nevertheless, they will be eager to finish their tournament on a positive note when they face Morocco in their final fixture.

Matchday 2
Brazil were overwhelming favourites with an implied probability of around 90%, and they comfortably collected all three points. The scoreline was convincing without being excessive, and the market correctly identified a significant gulf in class between the two sides.
Morocco were clear favourites and justified that status with a narrow victory over Scotland, though the Tartan Army kept the game competitive. The bookmakers were right to make the North Africans the most likely winners given their stronger squad and recent form.

Brazil and Morocco are expected to occupy the top two places in Group C, and their curtain-raiser showed the quality both teams posses, which should be enough to pick up maximum points against the other two teams in the group.
Brazil are slight favourites to top the section – but given Morocco’s quality – the sensible play would be to back Brazil & Morocco in the Group Dual Forecast, which pays 2/5 at bet365.
