As for Manchester City, they know only victory will suffice if they are to keep the title race alive heading into the final day this weekend.
Given that high-flying Bournemouth are currently enjoying a 16-match unbeaten run in the Premier League, there’s little appeal in backing the visitors at skinny odds-on quotes on Tuesday night.
With that in mind, I’m going to bypass the 1×2 market and instead focus on a player-based selection that offers value.
Bournemouth’s Rayan is as big as 5/6 with bet365 to register two or more shots during this contest, and that price looks generous.
The Brazilian has hit the ground running since arriving at the Vitality Stadium during the January transfer window, with his shot output proving particularly impressive.
Indeed, the 19-year-old has averaged a healthy 2.34 shots per 90 minutes across his 13 Premier League appearances for the Cherries so far.
That willingness to pull the trigger has been especially evident on the south coast with Rayan registering multiple shots in five of his six starts at the Vitality, including five in his most recent outing there against Crystal Palace
The case for siding with this selection is strengthened further by the fact that the Bournemouth ace has also fired three shots in home matches against both Manchester United and Aston Villa in recent months.
On top of all that, Rayan comes into this encounter in excellent form, having scored in each of his last three Premier League appearances.
With all of that in mind, I’m more than happy to back the Bournemouth ace to produce another two or more efforts against a Manchester City side that looked far from convincing defensively in their last Premier League away game at Everton, where they shipped three goals.
