SlipsTips shares a Bet Builder ahead of Canada's clash with Morocco at the World Cup on Saturday evening.
Canada vs Morocco Saturday, (18:00)
With a place in the World Cup quarter-finals at stake, Canada and Morocco meet at NRG Stadium on Saturday evening.
Co-hosts Canada have broken new ground by reaching the last 16, progressing from Group B as runners-up before edging past South Africa 1-0 with a late winner.
Morocco, meanwhile, finished second behind Brazil in Group C before taking the Netherlands all the way to penalties, where they prevailed 3-2.
Morocco To Qualify
Morocco look well placed to overcome Canada and reach the World Cup quarter-finals. The Atlas Lions come into this contest having lost just two of their 49 matches since the start of 2023. A closer look shows the Moroccans have come out on top in a sizeable 35 of those games, including World Cup victories over Haiti and Scotland.
While co-hosts Canada have given their fans plenty to shout about, they were held to a 1-1 draw by Bosnia during the group stage and also suffered a 2-1 defeat to Switzerland.
The fact this fixture is being played outside of Canada only strengthens the case for siding with Morocco.
Achraf Hakimi To Be Fouled 1+ Time
Look for Morocco's Achraf Hakimi to be fouled at least once on Saturday evening.
The Moroccan right-back provides a constant attacking outlet down the right flank and, as a result, regularly attracts plenty of attention from opposition defenders. That is reflected in the fact Hakimi has drawn an average of 2.77 fouls per game across his four appearances at the 2026 World Cup.
Dig a little deeper and the numbers become even more compelling. Indeed, Hakimi has been fouled in each of his four World Cup outings so far, including no fewer than five times against Brazil on matchday one.
The Paris Saint-Germain full-back is also likely to operate in similar areas of the pitch to Canada's Richie Laryea, who has committed six fouls across his last two World Cup outings, including four against South Africa last time out.
Ismael Saibari 2+ Shots
I'm going to round off the bet builder by backing Ismael Saibari to register two or more shots.
The Morocco forward has been one of the standout performers at this World Cup, scoring three goals in four outings thus far. Moreover, Saibari has averaged 2.48 shots per game across his four appearances at the tournament to date, recording multiple efforts in three of those matches.
That trend stretches beyond this World Cup too, with Saibari registering at least two attempts in each of his final three appearances at AFCON earlier this year.
Canada's front-foot approach only adds to the appeal of including this selection in the Bet Builder. The co-hosts are unlikely to sit deep and defend in numbers, leaving space for Morocco to exploit on the break. That should see Saibari well placed to have at least two shots.
These three selections combine to form a 4/5 Bet Builder that looks like solid value.
