Premier League betting tips

It is coming towards crunch time in the Premier League as there are few games left with a lot still at stake, starting with Saturday's match-ups.

The lunchtime kick-off sees two of the traditional ‘big six' collide in Liverpool and Chelsea at Anfield, while there are three more matches to take place in the afternoon.

The evening kick-off then sees title-chasing Manchester City host a Brentford side aiming to qualify for European football for the first time in their history.

Check out our tips and expert betting predictions for Saturday's Premier League games below:

Tip 1: Liverpool to Win

Unsurprisingly, Liverpool are favourites to inflict a seventh consecutive Premier League defeat on Chelsea, with bet365 pricing a home win at 5/6.

Tip 2: Dominik Szoboslai to Score or Assist

Dominik Szoboszlai has arguably been Liverpool’s most consistent performer this season, with the ex-RB Leipzig man scoring 13 goals and providing 10 assists for the Reds.

The Hungarian captain was involved in both goals at Old Trafford last weekend, and is an appealing 6/5 to Score or Assist at Anfield on Saturday.

Brighton & Hove Albion vs Wolverhampton Wanderers (15:00)

Brighton v Wolves

Tipster: TheBettingDesk

Brighton & Hove Albion host Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Amex Stadium on Saturday afternoon with the two sides arriving in completely different condition as the Premier League season enters its closing weeks.

Tip 1: Brighton win & under 3.5 goals

Brighton to win and under 3.5 goals stands out at 13/10 and the underlying numbers strongly support both parts of the selection.

Brighton's home performances have been built on control rather than chaos. Their xPTS return of 8.06 across the last four home matches ranks among the strongest in the division, while they have won 10 of 17 home xG battles this season.

Wolves remain one of the weakest away sides in the league by almost every attacking metric. They are yet to win an away xG battle and across their last four away games have averaged only 0.97 xG while conceding 2.24 xGA.

Tip 2: Brighton win to NIL

The goals data also points towards a controlled Brighton victory. Wolves fail to score in 65% of away matches and average only 0.41 goals per road game. Brighton home matches average 2.59 total goals per game, only the 16th highest figure in the league, reflecting a structured side rather than one involved in open matches.

The under 3.5 line still allows for scorelines such as 2-0 or 3-0, both results that fit comfortably with the season-long data. Given Wolves' attacking struggles away from home, Brighton winning without conceding remains a strong possibility.

Sunderland vs Manchester United (15:00)

Sunderland v Manchester United

Tip 1: Bryan Mbeumo over 1.5 shots on target

Bryan Mbeumo has gone 10 games without a goal for Manchester United and will be determined to end his drought. With Benjamin Sesko an injury doubt, he could play through the middle and is 6/5 at Paddy Power for a goal or assist. He's also a tempting 17/4 at Ladbrokes for over 1.5 efforts on target.

Tip 2: Sunderland double chance

Although Manchester United are in good form, they could lose a bit of intensity with a Champions League slot secured. If Sesko and Cunha both miss out it also takes away a lot of their firepower so Sunderland look worth a punt in the double chance at evens with with SkyBet.

Tip 3: Sunderland -1 card handicap

Sunderland picked up four yellows and a red last weekend and should show more intensity than Manchester United as they still have an outside chance of qualifying for Europe.

Backing the Black Cats at -1 in the card handicap pays 2/1 with Bet365 while over 2.5 Sunderland cards is 5/6 with the same firm.

Fulham vs Bournemouth (15:00)

Fulham v Bournemouth

Tipster: SlipsTips

Fulham and Bournemouth face off at Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon on the back of contrasting Premier League results last weekend.

Tip 1: Over 1.5 Bournemouth Goals

Bournemouth look well worthy of support to score two or more goals on Saturday afternoon at even money with William Hill.

Andoni Iraola’s side have scored at least twice in each of their last five Premier League matches, a run that includes fixtures against both Manchester United and Arsenal.

Tip 2: Alex Scott 2+ Shots

Alex Scott has registered two or more shots in nine of his last 14 Premier League appearances for Bournemouth, making a repeat here a value option at even-money with bet365.

Tip 3: Calvin Bassey 1+ Shot

Another player to note in the shots market is Calvin Bassey, who is priced at 5/6 with bet365 to attempt at least one shot. The Fulham defender has registered one attempt or more in seven of his last 13 Premier League appearances.

Manchester City vs Brentford (17:30)

Man City v Brentford

Tipster: GregMacLean

Manchester City will look to keep their Premier League hopes alive as they welcome European-hopefuls Brentford to the Etihad on Saturday Night Football.

Tip 1: Manchester City to Win & Over 2.5 Goals

Manchester City simply have to win each of their last four Premier League matches if they have any chance of claiming the Premier League title, and I think they will manage to win the first of those on Saturday.

As alluded to, Pep Guardiola’s men have won 12 of their past 15 Premier League clashes at the Etihad (W12-D3-L0), with 10 of those victories seeing three or more goals.

What’s more, eight of their last 11 Premier League fixtures across all venues have seen a minimum of three strikes, so combining a Home Win & Over 2.5 Goals appeals to me, which pays 3/4 at BOYLE Sports.

Tip 2: Jeremy Doku to Score or Assist

Jeremy Doku had initially given Manchester City the lead at Everton on Monday, but his second of the game in the 97th minute salvaged a point for the blue side of Manchester.

The Belgian winger has now scored four goals and provided two assists across his last five appearances for the Cityzens, and is an appealing 10/11 to Score or Assist at the Etihad on Saturday evening.
