Hull City are back in the Premier League and kick off the new campaign with a tricky game at home to Manchester United this afternoon.
The Tigers are being tipped for a quick return to the Championship but if they can shock the Red Devils on day one it would be a statement of intent.
Manchester United ended last season superbly though and will be looking to push on now that Michael Carrick has been confirmed as permanent manager.
Hull City vs Manchester United
Carrick has concentrated on bolstering Manchester United's midfield this season and his team look in good shape for another campaign of progress.
Dealing with a fired-up home crowd in Hull won't be easy though and the Tigers will feed off the energy of their supporters.
Oli McBurnie's goals played a key role in earning Hull promotion and the former Scotland striker is a big physical presence.
He will try to unsettle Manchester United's defence and I like the 6/5 on offer at Bet365 for him to commit over 1.5 fouls.
Bruno Fernandes is still the main man for the Red Devils and is always worth a punt for anytime scorer as he's on the penalties.
The Portuguese midfielder is 7/4 with Bet365 to get off the mark in their Premier League opener.
Brentford vs Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur flirted with relegation last season but have gone on a spending spree this summer to make sure they soar up the Premier League table.
Roberto De Zerbi should get Spurs heading in the right direction again after impressing in the Premier League during his time as Brighton boss.
He has been backed by the board in the transfer market and having a few key players back from injury will also boost their chances this season.
But Brentford away is a tough fixture to open the campaign as the Bees were superb at home last season, losing just three times.
This should be a close game and I wouldn't be surprised if it ended level, which pays 27/10. The half-time stalemate is a bit safer and that's 13/10 at Bet365.
Igor Thiago was on fire for Brentford last term and the Brazilian striker is an appealing 13/8 for over 1.5 efforts on target today.
Dundee United vs Dundee
There's only game in the SPFL Premiership this weekend but it should be a cracker as Dundee head down the road to Tannadice for the first derby of the season.
Dundee United just edged the head-to-head last term thanks to a thumping 3-0 win at home when they last faced off.
I'd be surprised if tonight's derby is so one-sided, especially with Jim Goodwin's men losing 4-0 to Hearts and Celtic in their last two outings.
Dundee also lost 3-0 at Aberdeen in the League Cup last weekend so it suggests we could see goals today with both defences looking leaky. Combining BTTS with over 2.5 goals pays evens at Bet365.
Last season's derbies were pretty tame, with two of the matches producing just one yellow card. I'm expecting more fire tonight and Dundee look a bit overpriced at 7/4 for most cards as the away team.
