About Aintree

Aintree Racecourse is a famous horse racing venue located in Aintree, Merseyside, England. It is best known for hosting the Grand National, one of the most prestigious and well-known steeplechases in the world.

The racecourse was opened in 1829 and has become synonymous with the sport of horse racing in the UK. The track is triangular, with 16 fences, some of which have become almost as famous as the race itself, such as Becher’s Brook, The Chair, and the Canal Turn.
