Salzburg will be looking to build on an impressive victory on match-day one as they welcome Real Sociedad to the Red Bull Arena for a Group D fixture on Tuesday. Real Sociedad are coming off a draw as they played out a 1-2 scoreline with Inter Milan in their opening Group D fixture. They took an early lead through Brais Mendez and held on for much of the contest before being breached three minutes from time.
While manager Imanol Alguacil will be disappointed not to have held on, that result appears to have sparked a resurgence for Real Sociedad, who had won just once in their previous five matches. They have now won their last three matches and travel to Salzburg off the back of a 3-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao in a La Liga clash last Saturday.
