HIBS host Celtic after the champions' epic battle with Atletico Madrid in midweek.
New Easter Road boss Nick Montgomery was handed something of a reality check when he suffered his first defeat as manager last week at Ibrox.
And it was a real sore one with Hibs getting nowhere near recent heights and suffering a mauling at the hands of a Rangers side who had been heavily criticised but seemed to find new life under Philippe Clement.
In fairness to Hibs, it was their first loss since they were ripped apart by Aston Villa in both legs of the Europa Conference League.
For Celtic, they were excellent against the la Liga high-fliers in midweek and proved they do belong on that stage. They could easily have won the game having led twice.
However, they must have used up a lot of effort chasing Antoine Griezmann and co and Brendan Rodgers could well ring the changes to his squad to freshen things up.
Last week in the league, they also travelled to the capital and they will hoping to breeze through this as much as they did against Hearts.
They simply outclassed the Jambos and could have won even more convincingly than the eventual 4-1 scudding Hearts suffered.
How the bookies view it
Celtic are not a million miles off a backable price at 1/2 with Coral and they will be the cornerstone of many punters' coupons.
Hibs can be backed at 11/2 with Boylesports and the draw is 15/4 with bet365.
Recent head to heads
Hibs gained a shock 4-2 win over a Celtic side who had already clinched the title in May in Leith, but they had lost the previous three games last term and conceded 13 goals in the process.
Players to watch
Martin Boyle is always a danger and usually raises his game against the Old Firm. The Australian international is 10/3 to score anytime with bet365.
Kyogo Furuhashi grabbed his customary goal against Hearts last week and also netted against Atletico and is evens to score again in the capital with Betfred – a price that plenty will lap up.
Anything else catch the eye?
It will be interesting to see how much Nick Montgomery learned from playing one half of the Old Firm last week, but it's hard to see him prevent anything other than a convincing Hoops win.
Celtic have now won six league games in a row without ever really looking like they have hit top form. Ominously, they have also had few problems in games after Champions League group stage matches.
They will be looking for a quick start as they did at Tynecastle where they scored within three minutes. They look nailed on at 5/4 with Paddy Power to win half time and full time.
Also, just like at Tynecastle, Celtic could easily concede as they have done to Motherwell, Kilmarnock and Hearts in their last three league games. Celtic to win and both teams to score is 15/8 with bet365.
